The Army psychiatrist on trial for killing 13 people in a mass shooting on Fort Hood in 2009 said during testimony Tuesday that he thought he was protecting Taliban leadership in Afghanistan from the U.S. military.

Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan’s statements came a day after the judge gave him the go-ahead to defend himself in the trial.

He won’t get the death penalty for fear that it would outrage Mooselimbs.

FTM's!

Shoot him on live TV!

Let the victim’s and their families now sue Obama for withholding their combat pay and veteran’s benefits as well as awarding of Purple Hearts.

Next we are going to be told to disregard what he says outside the courtroom.

Then, when he repeats this at his Court Martial, we’ll be told to disregard it for some other reason. He’ll be insane, whatever.

When it is shown that he was in constant e-mail communication with some Taliban-connected imam, we’ll be told to disregard that too.

Every day, additional insults to our intelligence.

Truly, our government is by, of, and for low-information voters.

The rest of us can pay our taxes and keep things running till we drop dead.

This POS will likely get the death penalty, but there will be appeals and the possibility that our Muslim-in-Chief will give him a commutation or even a full pardon. I think there is a less than even chance that he will actually be executed in my lifetime. Sadly the military have adopted lethal injection for capital punishment..he deserves to be hanged or be shot by firing squad.

get this...I was injured on my tour in OIF and stayed backed with pain med’s until my injury was such I had to get MEDEVAC’s out...so I end up in Walter Reed - and left with a handful of enlisted soldiers (1st LT/ MP at the time) ,...so a couple of the soldiers I left Iraq with are telling me that this psychiatrist that this Arab is yelling at them and calling them baby killers during their PTSD screening...my was done by a higher ranking offier at that time — and apparently Nadal was doing the enlisted...so I reported it t the chain-of-command instead of confronting this officer (who out ranked me) - but still - I wish I had...and then used my MP authority to arrest that dumb ass...I wish...but I didn’t ....but who knew (those ranking officers at Walter Reed knew - and why they kept sending him other places...instead of striping him of his rank and kicking his sorry ass out of the Army!

Oddly enough, Hasan has just done them all a HUGE favor. He’s just destroyed the regime’s whole case that the victims weren’t killed and injured in combat, by proudly claiming he was an active enemy combatant. Right now, and because of what he said, the victims are no different than the service members who were killed and injured in the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon.

That’s a good question. Surprising that the media will bury this case in favor of the murder cases like Jodi Arias or Casey Anthony crap, when the Ft Hood case has more ramifications to all Americans.

Hassan: I was protecting the Taliban

Whoa.
Doubtless this will come as a huge surprise to the geniuses in government who claimed "work place violence".

Could you imagine this scenario in 1943...Fritz Strinkel shoots up an American military base and says he was just helping the Nazis.

>>He was protecting the taliban? Isnt that a great defense? If this case was not so tragic, that would be laughable...<<

It is right of an episode of “Law & Order” (except that L&O refused to ever show mooslims as the bad guys).

Holder and Obama called this a WORKPLACE ACCIDENT.

THEY HAVE NOW BEEN CAUGHT IN ANOTHER COUNT OF TREASON.

OK, I’ll go with protecting the Taliban...which makes him a traitor, and therefore subject to the death penalty.

Murder or treason, I’ll take either as long as the result is the same: this Koranimal gets to meet 72 Virginians.

Unbelievable.

He is raising a "defense of others" defense. Basically, it's the same as self-defense, but the accused says he had to kill to save the life of another person, in this case Mullet Omar.

So, he has to admit to all the elements of intentional murder and then prove his use of force was necessary to save Omar's life AND that Omar was not the aggressor. Since none of his victims were anywhere near Omar, that's gonna be pretty tough to prove.

Guy's a legal genius, I tell ya.

not workplace violence = admitted to terrorist attack - every survivor is entitled to military benefits, purple heart and the 13 victims that perished their families should get everything owed. but why does the moron still get his military pay.
