Hell, the Senate bill gives them the EITC,full amnesty for ID fraud and they can still get food stamps and other goodies for their dependents, and on MSNBC they said Senate Dems are still trying to slip Obama-care subsidies for them in the bill.

There is NO Fing way they will accept a bill without path to FULL citizenship, and for Obama Dreamers that path is ONLY 5 years,

I have zero doubt about this, its too obvious.

I been studying rubio’s sales pitches and he makes only two main points over and over:

1) That this bill will bring them out of shadows and get them paying taxes and keep them of public dole, heck, so we need this to cut the deficit and to pay our SS and medicare while they cut our lawns too (we know this is a lie now)

2)That Once conservatives believe we have a bill that WILL secure the border then they will support it NO MATTER what else is in the bill (even if #1 is a lie AND the illegals get to vote)

I am hearing similar rumors ("We can't afford for them to get benefits without paying taxes... This shiny new Imm. Ref. bill will fix everything....") about a House version of amnesty. They are meeting behind closed doors of course, so it's hard to know for sure, but I am pretty sure that Boehner is pushing it.

Rhetorical question: Is the GOP on the same side as the Dems? Why aren't they worried we will figure out what they are doing?

The rationale I heard for a House bill sounded more realistic, to keep the House from being in position of being handed a Senate passed bill and then Bohner just puts that sole bill up for a vote as he did VAWA and taxes.
In both those cases the Reid Senate decided what Obama would sign into law.

If this is really the case then I as I always say kill the billin the Senate and the GOP house doesnt have to do anything as the failure is all in the Reid Senate.

One way to kill the bill is to add poison bill amendments.
Doing nothing (by some) doesnt ensure that nothing gets passed, ironically.

Maybe the house GOP is smarter than I think. But what worries me (in addition to statements that sound like amnesty will pay for itself or even be profitable) is is they say "The people want us to work with Democrats on immigration." I don't want that, unless it means going through the motions of working with them, to run out the clock or put in poison pills.

What they could REALLY mean is :
I want Hispanics to THINK I want to pass an immigration reform but at the same time I dont want to turn off my base voter so he stays home next election so I will show interest while trying to blow it up.
Its hard to know for sure what they are up to till its over.

So far this year Bohner has not shown much interest in having the House leading on GOP divisive legislation, preferring to wait to see if the Senate can pass anything, and I get the impression that the Senate deal, which at the moment is still not even a deal with Rubio playing hard to get, is resting like a bowling ball on a pin and canthandle a house passed version..

And Obama cant come in at the last minute and personally ram a Senate bill down the house throat using his personality and pleading if the house passes their own bill, like he could in 2010 w Pelosi and Obama-care.

Schumers been tell us passage is any day now for a couple of months

There are still many FReepers who want to give Rubio a pass, or at best “rehabilitate” him. It is very discouraging to read the drivel.

He has climbed to the top of my ‘GOP trying to BS me’ list.

But if he personally collapses this whole thing after getting Dems so hopeful about it and after them praising him endlessly and then Schumer and Obama start cursing him out on TV(this is key) implying he's a traitor for it, I could actually like him a bit.

not holding my breath for that.

RE :”Do, or do not. There is no try.”

What if Schumer has pictures of Rubio with some guy in bed together, say an illegal (gay male) who Dems recruited to set him up, and they are blackmailing him with those pics to support amnesty ???? , then it could be tough for him to get out.

maybe Schumer has them in a safe deposit box at the bank,.

That's not surprising.

Most people here basically had a "crush" on him (some women literally so, my mom loves him). Now he's "jilted" us and some want him back.

It's up to him to rehabilitate himself by ceasing to "step out" with the democrats. And please Marco, get tested you know Joe Biden has the clap.

How is that for an analogy? ;p

I want to go back to this:

The rationale I heard for a House bill sounded more realistic, to keep the House from being in position of being handed a Senate passed bill and then Bohner just puts that sole bill up for a vote as he did VAWA and taxes.

Seems like one big handicap the GOP has is cowardice. If the GOP was in control of the senate and passed a bill that hurt Dems as much as a Reid amnesty would hurt the GOP, you bet your *** a Pelosi-led House would vote it down with no apologies.

The GOP has the votes to kill any senate amnesty bill but lacks the will to do so. Maybe they have orders from the Chamber of Commerce.
