Albany, N.Y. — After the passage in January of tougher gun restrictions in New York, sheriffs across the state have joined a federal lawsuit challenging the legislation “to reinforce the sheriffs’ position that portions of the (legislation) need to be changed and have a potentially negative impact on law-abiding citizens,” said Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero.
The New York State Sheriffs' Association and five individual sheriffs have added their position to the record in the lawsuit filed by the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association regarding the New York Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement (SAFE) Act of 2013. The individual sheriffs listed are Wayne County Sheriff Barry Virts, Erie County Sheriff Timothy Howard, Oswego County Sheriff Reuel Todd, Putnam County Sheriff Donald Smith and Fulton County Sheriff Thomas Lorey....

And NYS Governor Cuomo has threatened to REMOVE these elected officials, if they don’t comply with the SAFE ACT
They'd be best off shipping those people back.
They went to Annapolic and lobbied against our new gun bill, but it did no good. 4,000 Marylands showed up there and were sloughed off too. The liberal Democrat dingleberries didn't even listen, it was truly a waste of time to even show up there. As with most hearings, those running the hearings have their minds made up before you go there, and they are just putting on a show for the opposition.
Cuomo does not have that power, these are elected officials, not Cuomo appointees.
The chant of the pro-gun voters needs to be:
“Help Stop the Homo!
Vote Against Cuomo!”
Sheriffs are armed.

If Cuomo tries to remove these people for upholding their oatsh then they and any loyal New Yorker supporting them has every right to overthrow Cuomo, arrest him, and try him for his crimes.

What about the Sheriffs of Nassau and Suffolk counties? That would be the majority of the territory known as Long Island. I don’t know about now, but in the late ‘80’s - early ‘90’s, in Nassau County, if you wanted a Nassau County government job, you had to show your voting card, and it had better be “Republican”.
But all of that was before that declared-cancer-infested McCarthy came along.
