President Obama appointed Susan Rice as Chief National Security Adviser on Wednesday, attracting renewed scrutiny to the administration’s handling of the attack on the diplomatic outpost in Benghazi, Libya that resulted in the death of ambassador Chris Stevens and three others.
Fox News’ Senior White House correspondent Ed Henry brought up the scandal and General Petraeus’ conclusions that the assessments of the Intelligence Committee on the issue changed so much and were no longer worth anything.
Press Sectary Jay Carney tried to slap down the comment.
“In every iteration of this, Ambassador Rice made clear as I did that, these were early assessments that were certain to change as we obtained more facts, and to suggest otherwise is just irresponsible,” Carney said.
Rice controversially claimed after September 11 that the attack in Benghazi was motivated by anger over a video titled ‘Innocence of Muslims’ that was critical of Islam. Officials backed off the claim after a short period.

And the movie that the administration was pushing was so offensive, that the President of Libya refused
to let the “Just Us” Department/FBI into the country to conduct thier investigation.
It seems the President of Libya notified the State Dept. of the situation , the day after the attack.

Obama was characterizing the attack on the consulate as “spontaneous riot” incited by an offensive porn video a week after everyone else in the world knew it was a planned Al Qaeda attack.

Ron Nessen, who left his position as NBC News’ White House correspondent to serve as Gerald Ford’s press secretary from 1974 to 1977, warned that a recent Washington Post story indicates that Carney will be twice removed from the president in the West Wing chain of command—reporting to White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer, who in turn reports to senior presidential adviser David Plouffe.
Rice was promised a payoff for her public fabrications...the SOS job, but the Senate did not comply. She was still owed for her service, so I’m sure Obama had to give her something big enough to buy her continued support.
I heard Hannity talking about Rice now being able to claim Executive Privilege about her prior statements on Benghai. How she can make that claim for what she did in a position she held that was not covered by Executive Privilege? That’s like Clinton claiming he didn’t have to testify in the Paula Jones lawsuit because as CInC he was covered by the Soldiers and Sailors Relief Act. And we all remember how that ended.
He’s nothing more than a Carney Parrot. .....Repeating what his trainers teach him.

Problem is the legal hassle and media coverage will keep the legal teams busy on this when there are other things that need their attention
