(Newser) – When Issak Wolfe walks in his Pennsylvania high school's graduation ceremony Friday, he won't hear his name read aloud as he accepts his diploma. Instead, he'll hear his legal—female—name, Sierra Stambaugh, the York Dispatch reports. Wolfe is transgender, and Red Lion Area High School has refused his request to read the male name he now uses, despite Wolfe's backing from the ACLU. The district's position: A diploma is a legal document and needs to carry a legal name; Wolfe is legally changing his name, but hasn't completed the process yet since he just turned 18 in April.
But Wolfe hoped that, even if his diploma carried his birth name, his chosen name could be read aloud. The principal rejected his request, so the ACLU took the issue to the school board, which last week decided to uphold the principal's decision, the Patriot-News reports. (Wolfe was accompanied by more than 50 supporters and a petition bearing 2,000 signatures when he attended the board meeting, NBC Philadelphia reports.) The district will, however, allow Wolfe to wear a black cap and gown with the rest of the male students, rather than the yellow one worn by the female students. Wolfe was previously in the news in April, when his principal listed him on the prom queen ballot, rather than the prom king ballot as he had requested.

The useless article did not specify what it was born with between its legs, so if it has ovaries and the plumbing that goes with it, then she is a female and nothing can ever change that fact. She can attach whatever she wants to her hips but she ain’t ever going to be a he. Gender is in your genes, not your head. What a waste.

There is no such thing as "transgender". It is a made-up concept to cover for someone who has a sick mind and unnatural desires (the Bible is pretty clear about those unnatural affections/desires).
There are a relatively tiny number of folks who are born with a chromosomal issue where they might have some sex traits of both genders - but still, they are at the root, fundamentally one gender or another. But again - this is extremely rare.
This is not one of those cases. This is a case where a girl isn't happy being a girl, so she wants to be treated like a boy. Period.
I am glad this school is sticking to the law.
These people are delusional. Being born a particular sex means that IS the sex you are. You can 'decide' you're another sex, but it doesn't change it. You can surgically mutalatee yourself into the appearance of another sex, but is still doesn't change what you are.
So the question becomes-
If these people are delusional into believing they are something they are not, why are we forced to be enablers to their delusion?

“Transgender” is nothing more than the recipient of expensive cosmetic surgery in the extreme, and a cross dresser in the milder cases.

yep, and we’re supposed to be liberal and let this boy/girl/it make any demands, because the ACLU is involved. And because the trans/whatever people are an officially recognized aggrieved group.

Why does the issue of gay rights, trans rights, have to be forced into every area of society? it has to be forced into school graduations now. Liberals love this kind of stuff. why?
