You won’t have to fire the first shot. These fascist bastards will generate a “1776 moment”, either the first shot or an over the edge equivalent.
My concern as of late is somewhat the opposite of what you describe.
What happens if our government proves to be so totally inept in their ability to respond to a shot over our bow from, say, Russia or China that it leaves our entire country vulnerable? What happens if all of these rats run from a sinking ship and leave behind a power vacuum in DC? Do we run toward the gash in the bow and pray we can steer the ship to safer waters, or do we succumb to the usurpers who are bound to come rushing to DC to take over (i.e. the Chicom or Russian military or worse, Sharia-imposing Islamists)?
