One day, if this goes on, schools will no longer be allowed to teach about September 11, just as many European schools are not allowed to teach about the Holocaust, to avoid offending Muslims.
Between the blasphemy/incitement laws and the voluntary censorship, a bubble of historical ignorance is being created and maintained in the hopes that this will prevent acts of Muslim terror and avoid exposing the failure of Muslim integration into multiculturalism.

I thought the Austrians still had a sense of national pride. It seems their government has grown as limp as those of western Europe.

Why does teaching students about the Holocaust offend Muslims?
I remember something about the history of WWII and don’t recall that Muslims were involved in the extermination of the Jews and other groups of people.

I dont know what Europeans he is referring to, because I am not aware of any country not teaching it. I have even had to correct drivel on FR that we British dont teach it (when in fact we probably teach it more than the US).
Also I have read some of Greenfield’s blogs/articles before, and if memory serves, replied to him, and corrected some rubbish he was posting about the UK. All in all, I’d be deeply cynical if Mr Greenfield says something is happening.
This is like one of the most important moments in Austrian history, not to mention the western world!
I bet those same teachers cant wait to teach how the Muslims “saved” the west from the dark ages by inventing Algebra.
I asked a 4th grader last weekend if he was getting any American history in his Georgia school. Surprisingly, he said that they are still teaching the Revolutionary War, the founders and the Constitution.
