Meet Karen Kenney, the first in what will undoubtedly be a parade of victims of the intimidation tactics of the IRS aimed at conservative groups applying for tax-exempt status. Twitchy captures Kenney’s statement and the immediate Twitter reaction to it. With President Obama attempting to pre-empt the hearing with an odd live statement on judicial nominations — usually a matter left to press releases — coverage of the hearing has been spotty, but this needs to be seen and read in full:

As the justified anger concerning IRS abuses prompt more discussion of ways to abolish it, we will begin to ask “With WHAT?” The two choices will probably come down to a FLAT INCOME TAX vs. A CONSUMPTION TAX.
I post this once again to remind us all — especially those who favor a FLAT TAX on INCOMES — that a tax on INCOMES (wealth creation) is a main tenet of MARXISM. I also remind the reader that governments tax that which they want LESS OF. Are we sure we want LESS wealth creation? A tax — if a tax there must be — is fairest when imposed on CONSUMPTION. The FAIR TAX is ready to roll out now!

Kathy's Tea Party Group is in the Houston area. She, her husband, their groups and their personal business came under attack by the IRS, BATF, FBI, OSHA and the EPA within a two year period leading up to the election.
Being reported here in Houston, she is being urged to file criminal charges under several federal statutes. Civil rights violations under color of law. Hang tight, the legs are poppin out.

What an incredible moment in today’s hearing.
Did these patriots ever think their moment to be heard inside the halls...would ride on the back of the IRS?
When the lazy, worthless bastard himself starts taking part in trying to distract, you just know he's afraid.
That screams of guilt - and involvement. I wasn't expecting that response...
