That’s exactly what happened. They also choose to disconnect from their children by putting them in day care, because their own careers was the most important thing in the world. Consequently, their children learned to not need their parents, so they rarely contact them.

Just the opposite, I spent most of mine keeping my kids out of public school and medical bills for a tbi child because I won’t accept state help/interference.

Far better to raise your kids so they are constantly contacting you out of need?

I do believe Boomers have actually raised kids who stay much closer to their (often helicopter) parents than was the norm in the generations before them.

Or they took care of there children when they were children, and the “children” have moved back in with them because the “children” can’t find work in the 0bamanation.
