Major Democratic donors flock to Christie
The Star Ledger ^ | June 3, 2013 | Salvador Rizzo

TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie is cashing in donations from top Democratic fundraisers and other traditionally liberal donors across the country, even nabbing the support of a handful of rainmakers aligned with President Obama and Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, a Star-Ledger review of state and federal records shows.

The checks are flying into the Republican governor’s war chest from all sorts of unlikely places — the hedge fund run by liberal billionaire George Soros, for example, and the politically progressive halls of the University of California, Berkeley.

The nascent support from Democratic donors is an early sign of Christie’s fundraising prowess in a potential run for the White House in 2016, experts and Democratic donors said, and dovetails with recent polls showing him gaining popularity nationally among Democrats and independents........

Isn’t this the guy ann coulter salivates over?

Someone posted last week that somebody should ask Ann Coulter how it feels to lose her boyfriend to Barack Obama. Seemed apropos.

Since he can appoint the replacement for Lautenberg, they figure, like any dim politician (RINO is too good for this fat SOB), he’s for sale. No need for big bucks, just get him a box of Krispy Kremes. He’s probably on the phone with his butt boy Hussein 0bama taking instructions right now.

These Rats won’t vote for him.....they are funding him so he will run, knowing full well, he will NOT GET the conservative vote and therefore, another Romney and McCain debacle.

That tells me that he will change parties and appoint a democrat to replace Lautenberg.

BINGO -— We have a winner! If Crispy Cream wins the Republican nominations there would be a large drop off in conservative voters going to the polls in 2016. And the result of that would be many more Republican losses down ticket. We could lose the House and have reduced numbers in the Senate. 2016 could be the year that the tipping point was reached from which recovery was impossible.

If Christie appointed himself to the Senate he could switch sides and become a Democrat. Then he could be the Democrat Senator from New Jersey for life.

The huge question right now is who is Christie going to nominate to replace senator Lautenberg? This is where the bullet hits the bone. If he chooses a Democrat, he is done with the Republicans.

If the Republican elite coalesce behind him as they did McCain and then Romney, they deserve every loss they get. If they can live with perpetual loss, it would seem that so can conservatives, since we don’t get a say-so anyway even in the primaries. They seem to be counting on hispandering to make up the difference-how can such supposedly smart people be so very stupid? Or do they really not care if they never have power again, as long as they can wheel and deal for personal gain with the left? How long do they think that will last once the left is sure they no longer need to deal with an irrelevant GOPe to hold power in perpetuity?

The money is advance payment for naming Cory Booker as Senator to replace Frank Lautenberg.
