RE: we have to endure another term by an extremely evil individual.

Don’t forget DECADES of liberal judges and justices in our courts.

If God forbid, something were to happen to Scalia, Thomas or Alito before 2016,the shift to a LIBERAL supreme court shall have been accomplished.

It’s even odder than it seems.

In places like Oklahoma and Ohio, there was a dropoff in votes for Romney compared to McCain. But Romney got a million more votes than McCain.

I haven’t run the numbers so I don’t know which states gave the boost to Romney over McCain.

They both were the problem. Romney and those who stayed home.

I actually voted for him, and that pained me to no end - only because of Bacrock.

Bingo.
Sometimes idealism has to take a back seat to pragmatism.
There was/is too much at stake to withhold your vote because of one stance or perceived religious doctrine.

I’m not sure I’d agree with Sarah Palin on every issue but I’d vote for her in a second, or less.

I am not sure the 2012 numbers support the contention that whites stayed home rather than vote for Romney.

If there was 'massive' voter fraud, it happened in 2008, with Obama getting 10 million new votes over Kerry's 2004. But, Obama lost 4.2 million from 2008 to 2012.

Romney 2012 got about 1 million more than McCain 2008 got, but McCain lost 2.5 million from Bush 2004. Romney lost 1.5 million from Bush 2004.

McCain lost to Obama by 9.7 million.
Romney lost to Obama by 5 million.

Chart does not include minor party votes:

Totals Democrat Republican Year Total Votes
Totals wObama
65,446,032
Romney
60,589,084
2012 126,035,116
Totals wObama
69,297,997
McCain
59,597,520
2008 128,895,517
Totals Kerry
59,027,478
wBush
62,039,073
2004 121,066,551

w = winner

Maybe whites stayed home because nobody is speaking for them and nobody cares about them. What’s the first thing the Republicans started saying as soon as Romney lost? “We didn’t appeal to Hispanics enough!!! We must try to reach out to Hispanics more!” Which of course means amnesty and other things whites don’t want, but who gives a rip about whites?

THAT’S why whites stayed home.

Just an idiotic premise and race hustling.

Fact is, many of us were just put off by Romney.

If a friend hadn’t made the case for casting a vote for Romney I would have written in my dog or Newt Gingrich.

Romney was a dog with mange and no one wanted him.

I know of no one who had a problem with Mitt being Mormon .

Romney had the political and moral certainty of an Oklahoma weathervane.

“I did not vote, nor have since 2000. I will not use a computer.to.vote”

Well you certainly made your point. Those machines learned their lesson.

It looks like Romney had a "white" not "hispano" problem.

The days of voting for some fool, or liberal from Massachusetts just because they have the gope R title, is way over..

Got sucker with better of two evils BS with Bush on his first term...That cheet won't happen again...

Well according to you and other idiots My opinjon shouldnt count just because I dont vote. Why should I participate in a system that hates me? Voting is just theater nowadays to make the little guy feel good. The elections are bought and sold by lobbyists long before the machines are brought out of the closets. The flagrant fraud shown in the last national elections proves my point. Be my guest and contribute, but ones voting did away with physical proof of who voted for whom how many times, the fix was in. But hey according to you guys, i shouldnt care anyways, im a non entity.

I didn’t say you couldn’t voice your opinion. You have just chosen a venue that makes no difference.

It’s ok to admit that you have a felony conviction on your record that prohibits you from voting. I don’t judge and know a few convicted felons that are great people today. They can’t legally vote but would like to.

That would be a better excuse for you not voting than what you are offering.

Or maybe their votes just weren’t counted..

I'm starting to lean this way.

On election night I said, "We blew it. Losing by a few votes is fraud, but we lost by a couple of million. Doesn't mean that there wasn't fraud, but not millions of votes worth."

Then I started reading about precincts in PA that went unanimously for Obama - 19,000+ votes worth. Unanimity isn't a hallmark of American voting....there wasn't ONE conservative in the precinct? Not one person who was mad at BO for some imagined slight, or who pulled the wrong lever, or who voted 'Communist' just because they thought it was funny?

The "we were robbed" tin-foil-hatters started making a little more sense to me. 20K votes here, 20K votes there....and pretty soon you're talking real numbers.

“I know of no one who had a problem with Mitt being Mormon.”

His Mormon faith is not something most would willingly disclose as an issue, either casually in conversation or in a survey. So I admit my assertion of his faith as a problem is pure supposition. There is no way to easily prove it.

The whites that stayed home were likely “Reagan” republicans as well as a lot of Conservatives who found Romney a POS and so worthless they did not bother to vote and then there was that fat-headed wideazz NJ Governor. Romney and the rest of the Rovian Repubs are still blaming everyone but themselves.
