SNIPPET: "U.S. authorities have transferred Younis al-Mauritani, held in Afghanistan, to Mauritania, officials in the West African nation said on Saturday.

SNIPPET: “Al-Mauritani (aka El Hadj Ould Abdel Kader) was a senior al-Qaeda operative...”
SNIPPET: “He was captured in Pakistan in 2011. At the time, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) said al-Mauritani was an international threat, personally tasked by Osama Bin Laden with planning operations against “important economic targets” in the United States, Europe and Australia.”
