The liberals will use this as evidence of how racist and bigoted conservatives are. How do you come up with that? Youtube isn't know as a bastion of conservatism.

I figure that the liberals would jump on such comments as having been written by conservatives. Even though YouTube isn’t known as a bastion of conservatism, liberals would say that only some conservative bigot would write such nonsense.
To: James C. Bennett
I would chalk it up to trolls. I know of no true conservatives that would have even noticed anything racial about this commercial. I didn’t.

The existence of racial groups is a temporary phenomenon due to geographical isolation. As the peoples of earth intermarry, racial groups will homogenize and races as we know them will disappear.

That’s a cute ad, but some people are always on the lookout for something to be offended about.

Inter-racial dating and marriage is being pushed on us by certain segments of the media to become a kinda Obama mocha latte nation. I have heard that in some high schools that white girls who refuse to date a black guy are called racist. My preference is for races to marry within which is how it was when I was young. If this makes me racist then so are a lot of blacks who don’t like seeing white men marrying some of the intelligent, well-educated black women that cannot find a black man with equal or better qualifications

The wimps at Christian Post were afraid to post a link to the You Tube? At least Google works.
I agree that the Cheerios ad plays to the old racist stereotype of black men wanting white women. So I guess the marketing department at the company is made up of a bunch of Kluxers.
Boycott racists Cheerios.

There is no dumber, more vacant or more morally bankrupt demographic in the history of mankind than YouTube commenters.

reddit is a leftist opinion/news site many times more popular than FR. Very popular with the under-30 age group.

Very ,very embarrassing! When will people learn to properly target racist comments only at white middle aged males?

Those come and go over time a lot, the crowds are very fickle. Digg was a big one for awhile.

Just saw the actual commercial live on the Nascar race.
I will say if an alien came to earth and watched nothing but US television, he would infer that the country was 30% black people.

For all we know, it could have been angry blacks (perhaps mostly black women) who were expressing their sincere rage at the concept of a "mixed" couple (especially one in which a white woman has "stolen" a black man).

I've seen the commercial and wondered what the purpose was--why did General Foods go out of its way to show an interracial couple? Were they trying to show how "enlightened" they are or were they hoping for controversy which could then be denounced as racist?
I don't think they would have shown an interracial couple where the husband was white and the wife was black. That would have gotten negative feedback from groups they don't want to offend.

Yes...If it’s a Beethoven Symphony, there are remarks about Nazis, If it’s Tchaikovsky, then there are pages of obscenities about Stalin, etc.
The ignorance is appalling out there!

Nowadays, you are a racist if you simply believe that your own race should continue to exist. For example: Where do white people come from? Answer: two white parents.
