Rand Paul appears to have some positives, it also appears (subject to further verification) that he may not share his Dad’s horribly dangerous (in my opinion) foreign and defense policy ideas (while still good on some of his Father’s better issues....), and he speaks well too.
How about Michelle Bachmann? Every time I’ve heard her she makes lots of good sense, she really sounds like she may have her head screwed on correctly. or maybe if she’s willing to push her way through the much of all the media’s personal attacks, Sarah Palin?)
John R. Bolton could be a real winner, too... speaks well, clearly, and makes a tremendous amount of sense most of the time.... How about a Bolton/Bachmann ticket?
“so... who are the Rs going to nominate ?????”
Little Jebbie, or Krispy Kreme Kristy.
It’s already pre-ordained, just like Romney was about this time in the last election
It is doubtful the voters are ready for yet a third Bush, no matter how good he may be, after the mass media tarnished the name so thoroughly....
Christie is not acceptable to most Republican voters, you don’t need my comments to know that
therefore, if the R’s nominate either one, they will just lose again.
McCain spent much of his campaign “sanitizing” his opponent and “assuring” us that it was “safe” and indeed “perfectly ok” to vote for O (not an enemy foreign agent, we aren’t allowed to say his true religion, it is unfair to raise his lack of constitutional qualification for the post, we don’t need to be afraid of his communistic/community organizer politics, etc etc etc... McCain was O’s best campaigner)
Romney was a credible candidate except for (especially) his proto-ObamaCommieCare back in MA. He had to spend half his campaign time dancing around that one, alas. And after he won that important first debate, he seemed to go into some sort of stupor for the rest of the campaign, allowing his lead or momentum to fizzle out. But the R primary voters selected Governor Romney so we did our best for him, it just wasn’t good enough as millions of R voters stayed home. The R voters elected O by staying home, the numbers are crystal-clear about that. And so we got 4 more years of downwards spiral for America and American workers.
It used to be said (was it Harry Truman, or??) about being a D, that “I don’t belong to any organized political party, I’m a Democrat.”
Nowadays, the D party is extremely well organized, per the most effective communist/community organizer methods... using the power of our government against us
and the R’s are the not-organized party.
Go figure!
I know you keep tellin' me I need a long talk, Uncle Jed... but that ain't right, is it?
Any way you look at it, Jethro... that just ain't right!
Jed! Jerthro! Don't look... don't look!
Well, Margaret, guess those hillbillies... don't look so bad now, do they?
Maybe, but at this point, so what? It won’t make any difference.
This is all silliness anyhow. Michelle Obama will beat Hillary in the Democratic primaries, and she will be the nominee.
I like Bachmann a lot and I wish somebody would ask her about this IRS stuff since she worked for them previously.
But, can she do better than last time? I’m not sure about that.
Of course I was wild about Rubio, but now he has sold us out. One thing about Ron Paul, I don’t think anyone can say he’s been a sell-out and I don’t think his son would be either.
Plus, he’s an actual MD, so we KNOW he is smart and must be at least fairly proficient in math. That is the downfall of so many lawyer types and might go a way to explain how screwed up our nation’s finances are.
As to John Bolton, I don’t really have an opinion.
I’ll be open to anybody new. And I guess I’m excluding the one fellow I thought would be perfect until he imploded - Rick Perry.
What a perfectly horrible thought...Michelle is racist to the core with expensive tastes that no one can afford........
That's probably why the ptb are trying to neuter the Republican Party of conservatives. They're going to have to take over the Republican Party and make it liberal enough for their tastes in order to have any sway....Obama only cares about his people.
Thus, the only smart thing for conservatives to do is get ahead of the game. Compromise just destroys our issues and hands the party to escaping dems. It might be wisest for the true conservatives just to take over an existing third party or start one.
Hint that Obama isn't interested about dems. Say what you want, but Kucinich was a good HOR rep and a progressive. In some deal with the devil (both sides) his seat got erased in OH and black radical Marcia Fudge's got saved. She's a terrible HOR rep, and only cares about black jobs and black "summits" to stop violence. Yet her gerrymandered HOR seat covers a lot of primarily white suburbs.
The real story is how Urkel will do whatever necessary in the run up to the 2016 elections to screw Hillary. Anything and everything negative that comes up about Cankles in the next 3 years should be presumed to come out of Obama’s cadre of sycophants.
He will never forgive the Bent One for his “waiter” comment
Bachmann always sounds intelligent and right on most of her points, to us here at least. A very promising person...and yes, she may have some useful insights into the corruption of the revenueoffice for O’s re-election... surprising she hasn’t said much yet?
Palin usually sounds pretty good, too, she’s nobody’s fool either. Whether she can run the race, I don’t know?
Bolton nearly always sounds right about things. (Same for columnist Victor Davis Hanson... and yes, Charles the K most, not all, of the time...an extremely astute and brave man... and yes a medical doctor also (shrink, but they go thru medical school too).
there are many more possibilities, let’s try to get a good ticket lined up for 2016!
hopefully by then, Sen. McCain will be retired at last, and Gov. Romney will grace the campaign with a few nice appearances and then quickly get back to his investment work....
Ted Cruz looks very interesting, too, but we don’t need to be put on the defensive on the Constitutional qualifications for office issue... right after Mr. Kenya ...
“Ted Cruz looks very interesting, too, but we dont need to be put on the defensive on the Constitutional qualifications for office issue.”
Yes, agreed! I think he was born in Canada, so no, he’s not qualified. I don’t really want to change that provision, there really are so few qualifications. If we survived without Alexander Hamilton being pres, we’ll survive without Ted Cruz, Ahnold S. and that dem dame - Jennifer Something (also Canadian born. - too lazy to google she was gov. of Michigan, I think)
This actually reminds me of an old comedy routine I saw years ago: Mexicans swim the Rio Grande, hide in car trunks, etc. and do all the lowest, most back-breaking work in this country. Canadians fly in first class, get their green cards from a vending machine at the air port and totally dominate hollywood - conclusion: we’re watching the wrong border!
Most Canadians and most Mexicans pose no serious problems at all to USA as either visitors or residents here. What concerns me is that our open borders permit thousands of enemy agents or terroristas or just people who hate us... from Islamicstans... into USA
Trojan camels, if you will
very very dangerous for future of USA
Yes, I don’t know where you live, but here in the NYC Metro area there are barely any native born americans anymore. You watch the local news and almost everyone who is interviewed is foreign. No matter their age, color, or what the story is about, they are foreign. The whites are Russian, the blacks are from Africa, it’s amazing.
I grew up in NYC and there were always plenty of foreign people, but now it seems like there is no one else.
And I agree, there is a lot of focus on Mexicans, but what about our borders at the airports? Why are we giving ANY Visas to Muslim college students from jihad supporting countries?
I’d like a candidate that would talk about these things and actually do something other than roll-over for the NY Times editorial page.
“What a perfectly horrible thought...”
Yes it is, so much so that no one wants to consider it, but we should. Michelle is at the beginning of her imperial career, not the end of it. She has way too much hate that is yet to be fully exploited.
Look at the law before you insert your foot way past the ankle... Ted Cruz is fully qualified as a US Citizen to run for President. Do you not recall that John McCain was born in Panama, yet as much as I did not like him as a candidate, he is a US Citizen and therefore qualified to run as he did.
"I belong to no organized party. I am a Democrat."
Will Rogers
But was not McCain born to parents who were serving in the Military? Well the father was serving anyway, but you know what I mean. Is Cruz in a similar situation?
I like Ted Cruz, nothing against him.
But, to borrow a thought from Barbara Bush, there’s 300 million people in this country, surely we can find many of quality to be president, etc.
