Ilana Kartysh, who won gold medal in Golden Grand Prix tournament in Italy, tells Ynet about violent incident she experienced in semi-final when her opponent broke her fingers, bit her. 'I can't remember such dirty behavior in sports,' she says Israeli wrestler Ilana Kartysh won a gold medal Saturday in the Golden Grand Prix tournament in Italy, but her historical achievement was marred by a very unpleasant incident, when she was attacked by her Egyptian rival during the semi-final. Kartysh, 22, who competed in the 67-kilogram weight category, made it to the semi-final after beating opponents from Hungary and Kazakhstan. There, she experienced a violent incident she won't be able forget for quite a long time.

Egyptians?? Don’t those critters typically carry rabies? She better get the shots.
I’m a little bit surprised that Egypt even allows women’s wrestling.
Just because the Egyptians SAID it was a female, doesn’t prove it.
If the Egyptian was even so much as willing to shake her Israel opponent’s hand, that would be a fairly big improvement over the typical Arab attitude towards Israeli athletes.

You have to make some allowances for cultural advances. Maybe Egyptian wrestling is where we were in the late 1940’s when some deranged bad guy like Killer Kowalski or Baron Von Shultz would sneak sandpaper out of his pants and go to work his opponents eyes.
Any relation to Mike Tyson?
The Egyptian should have lost the fight, before it even started, when she refused to follow the rules and shake hands.
She should wait a while then tell her about the pork based lotion she uses.
If Israelis are swine, then the Egyptian should be stoned for eating pork.
During the fight, she broke two of the Israeli's fingers and bit her in the back – causing her to bleed. At the end of the match, unsurprisingly, she refused to shake hands with her again
It turns out not to be wrestling. It's a biting competition.
