Zimmerman Defense Fund Raises $12K In Single Day (but needs $120,000)

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Attorneys for the Florida man charged in the shooting of Trayvon Martin say his defense fund has raised $12,000 in one day.

George Zimmerman's defense team posted the figure on their website on Thursday, just a day after announcing the fund had less than $5,000 remaining.

I agree. I donated $40 (the most our family’s budget would allow right now) and hope many others donate to the defense of this ordinary citizen being oppressed by the powers of a corrupt state apparatus—staffed by corrupt individuals who would destroy anyone if it advanced their agenda. I hope that eventually the corrupt, evil prosecutor is disbarred in a fashion similar to the way Nifong was disbarred in North Carolina in the Duke Lacrosse hoax.
