IRS Adds Lawyer To Advise on Scandal Response (former Clinton admin aide Jennifer O’Connor)
Wall Street Journal ^ | 5/29/13 | Evan Perez

More personnel news from the Internal Revenue Service: The agency is hiring former Clinton administration aide Jennifer O’Connor to help it navigate the scandal over its reviews of conservative organizations.

**SNIP**

Ms. O’Connor didn’t respond to a request for comment. As we wrote earlier today, Mr. Werfel is also bringing an official from outside the agency as the IRS’s chief risk officer.

If they didn’t do anything wrong why do they need a lawyer?

As if the IRS doesn’t already have a few thousand lawyers on the payroll already.

Wow. Dem operatives certainly practice inbreeding, don’t they? So many appointees/holdovers from the corrupt Clinton Regime.

Here, I can save them some money. Here’s what a government scandal lawyer should tell them.

“Tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. This is serious business and if you lie or coverup, you’re going to get hammered.”

It’s actually pretty easy.

“to help it navigate the scandal over its reviews of conservative organizations.”

It’s not a scandal. It’s a CIVIL RIGHTS VIOLATION. The Nazis at the IRS stomped the rights of citizens. Period. Exclamation point.

The states need to move against the criminal IRS and start indicting individuals. State attorneys general need to present proof for indictments against IRS individuals and issue warrants. Then send SWAT teams to the homes of those indicted and arrest them.

This isn’t rocket science. Arrest. A trial. Find guilty. Lock them up.

If conservatives are too chicksh*t to get involved and enlist states in the cause, then the country is lost and it’s every man for himself.

You can freaking bet this is how Bill and Hillary are keeping a pulse on this crisis. I am sure there is an entire spin machine set up to deal with this.

And... all the Secretaries of State need to de-certify the 2012 election results.

These illegal actions influenced the election outcome. This should be considered a Constitutional crisis.

Bingo.

Basically they are saying the lawyers they’ve already got are incompetent.

Ditto.

This is actually a good sign. They are panicked and defensive.

If you’ve ever read anything about addiction, they say that an alcoholic or drug addict has to hit bottom before he can recover. These people are addicted to power and to taxpayer money. As long as we keep enabling them, they will continue to abuse power and spend our money. They need to wake up naked and covered in vomit in the display window at Macy’s before they are ready to face the problem. Getting closer every day.

You're correct. They're in a state of panic. This babe they just hired is an experienced scandal-controller and spin artist. She handled scandals for Bubba so she knows her onions and grits.

Looks like the IRS has a very flexible yearly budget where it can go out and hire anyone at any time if it feels it needs to protect itself....while the taxpayer foots the bill for these panicky self-defense measures.

It'd be interesting to know what Ms. O'Connor's hourly fee is for her capacity as an "advisor"....especially since it appears this scandal investigation can go on for a year or more.

Oh, the money she can make......

If this is the beginning of the end of the IRS, then I’m willing to look at her hourly rate as collateral damage.

Repeal the 16th amendment.
Abolish the IRS.

Whatever it takes....
