House Judiciary Chairman to Newsmax: Holder Should Resign
NewsMax ^ | 5/29/13 | By Jim Meyers and Kathleen Walter

Posted on 05/29/2013 3:23:42 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Rep. Bob Goodlatte is leading a Judiciary Committee probe of Attorney General Eric Holder's actions regarding the targeting of reporters. And he tells Newsmax he is "very concerned" about Justice Department efforts to "harass the news media."

The Virginia Republican also reiterates his call for Holder to step down, a demand he first made two years ago during the Fast and Furious controversy.

Elected in 1992, Goodlatte has been chairman of the House Judiciary Committee since January.

Holder recently testified before the committee that targeting journalists was "not something I've even been involved in." But it's now been reported that Holder personally sanctioned a search warrant labeling Fox News correspondent James Rosen a co-conspirator in leaking national-security secrets.

In an exclusive interview Wednesday with Newsmax TV, Goodlatte discusses his probe of Holder.

"We are sending a letter today-- myself and the chairman of the Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations Subcommittee -- asking him to explain how his answers to the committee conflict with the actions that he appears to have taken with regard to Mr. Rosen, and we will withhold judgment on what the attorney general's actions constitute until we give an opportunity for him to explain himself.

Resigning is dandy, but then what?
Indicted, tried, and hopefully convicted?
He should immediately be disbarred from the practice of law.

All Bank Robbers and Extortionists should resign, right before their criminal hearings. Take a clue from Congress.

Resing?

Nah.

Brilliant, intellectual, well-meaning, middle-class-loving,
intensely-brilliant Progressives don’t ever have to resign or be subjected to any sort of criminal penalties, dontcha know?

If these committees do not have power of arrest and prosecution ... (they're all lawyers .. don't they know ANY judge that would slam a gavel ??) ... then every one of these reports, every letter, every statement ... is a big frickin' joke.

Resign, then grand jury/special prosecutor, then trial, then conviction, then appeal, then sentencing, then punishment.

PS: Firing squad, hanging, or electric chair for Treason.

Holder is a POS. He doesn’t have enough character to resign. Being held in contempt of Congress didn’t phase him. Neither will this letter. He and Obama use the law as a weapon rather than a tool.

The S.O.B. has been dirty for decades.
His life of crime started in college, when he was an armed rioter at Columbia in the takeover of the ROTC office in '73. But for demonic-rats in high places, Eric Holder should have been delegated to work for the NAACP or another left wing organization.

He should resign so he can get to work making those license plates.

He should be impeached and removed from office, and in addition he should be disbarred from any future office of trust or profit under the united States.

No! Come on Democrats! Fight this tooth and nail! I bought a case of popcorn for this Summer. I’m really looking forward to watching a constant parade of Democrats on TV trying to explain why they are liars and thieves. All those young college voters seeing their Democrat party for the liars and thieves that they are. Oh, that’s going to hurt. Those college kids are at such an impressionable age. Why, they might despise the Democrats for the rest of their lives. Oh, that’s a lot of votes down the drain to protect Holder when he’s already done.

That's just it. These Washington variety invertebrates want Holder to go away so they don't offend anyone by initiating some kind of prosecution.
