GREAT READ Civilization is not a product, it's a process. You can't export it. You can ship a bunch of cars to Somalia, but you can't ship the process that makes a culture build a car. You can hand out PhD's to them based on knowledge and test taking skills, but you can't endow them with a respect for ideas. You can set up democratic elections in Afghanistan and Egypt, but you can't export the process that explains why the elections shouldn't be abolished after the side with the most guns wins.
Yeah, Afghanistan---among Middle East hellholes still in turmoil 10 years after the pukeneos duped Bush into invading Iraq....places the pukeneos said were "thirsting" for American-style democracy.
(waiting for hysterical laughter to die down)
======================================
BTW, you remember the neocons, don't you? GW Bush installed them in the Office of Special Ops where they connived (using our tax dollars) to get the US to invade Iraq. Puke-duped Bush actually believed the pukeneos when they said that would bring peace.
Terrorist hellholes where trillions of US tax dollars were wasted and rivers of young blood were shed. <><> Where the blood-thirsty Muslim Brotherhood has a stranglehold. <><> Where the WSJ reported neocon godfather, Richard Perle, is starting an oil company with his war profiteering billions (your tax dollars at work).
=====================================
It took the US about a decade to get out of Iraq and corrupt Afghanistan, as the globe erupted into Mideast-centered terrorism.....and hate-filled Muslims set sail for America.
But not to worry---at the serene Four Seasons lounge, where the neocons meet, and the chilled Cristal flows, the Iraq War is still seen as a really, really good idea......and hatred for conservatives continues unabated.
Cheers.
I am reminded of what George W Bush said to the world before Congress in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 - to the effect that there was a clear choice - with us or with them.
Then he confounded that clear clarion call with a his bizarre declaration the Islam is a religion of peace.
Pre 9/11, I doubt if one American in a hundred knew any more about Islam than it was a religion practiced by non Jews and non Christians, centered in the Middle East. So, the President makes that declaration that he stuck with throughout his term in office.
Since 9/11 that one in a hundred who know much about Islam may have increased to ten in a hundred? But, the buzz from the Hive still echoes W's unfortunate declaration.
I wonder if he knows better today? I wonder if his conscience bothers him about that? Because, I believe he has one.
Dear Mr President: No one can doubt your love for our country. Please look at reality and come back with a recantation of your error. The time is short and the prospects grow dimmer by the hour. Your country needs you.
They bought the product, but not the process.
And therein lies the (probably insurmountable) problem. What a tragedy that the only practical solution to the actions of those who have no respect for the process is not to appease, guaranteeing that the cycle will continue, but to fight back and kill large numbers of them when they become violent.
The Swedes have to be rethinking their invitation to these uncivilized people.
‘Bout time we did, too.
GWB needs to walk back “Islam is peace.”
"...Im wondering if there is any way to get some exposure in Europe for these posts."
Excellent point. The blog, GatesofVienna.net has the "Rosetta Stone" project which is updated with valuable video/essay translations for wider consumption.
It would be a great service to see a similar project develop with Daniel Greenfield's essay's by having a small army of volunteer translators step up to provide this valuable resource to a much broader audience.
Please add me to your list. Thank you!
You're right - hysterical laughter is the only response to that comment today...
Quelle idée éclatant!
Ma, comé stupendo quest'idea!
¡Oye, qué idea brillante!
Great article.
On your list, please.
The native multiculturalists are post-tribal, but the multiple cultures settling there aren't.
A Jewish guy talking from a (supposedly) post-tribal perspective. One wonders if he ever read the Torah for its message on that topic: It's family or government, brotherhood or tyranny. Mayhap as that reality wraps around us all from the back side, maybe then we'll get the point too.
(Both West and East have their own processes. And both processes are colliding. The Swedes bring their cars and the savages bring their flames. The burning cars are a metaphor for the impact of Muslim immigration on Sweden and the West.)
This reminds me of the anti-drug TSA: This is your brain (show an egg); this is your brain on drugs (show an egg being fried).
This is your car (show a regular car); this is your car in islamist Sweden/France (show a car being burned).
You are with us. Welcome.
“Creepy parallels between Stockholm and Detroit. What could be the common denominator?”

Only thing I can think of is cold winters. Why, is there something else?
Please add me, too. Thank you.
