“No one should hate anyone ever. No one should call other people names, bully them, ridicule them, intimidate them, etc. That is wrong. Period. Christians who bully and intimidate others- whether they are homosexuals or Muslims, atheists or Wiccans- are dishonoring Christ and disobeying Scripture, which commands us to love our neighbors as ourselves.”

Unless one is a Mormon; then it’s OK.

I'm beginning to think this is a Mormon plot to drive the Catholics out of Scouting.

The Mormon cult has allied with the homosexual perverts and their corporate sponsors to force the homosexual agenda into the tent.

This drives out the Catholics and other parents who care about their kids and leaves only the cultists to make scouting their own personal institution.

Next best thing to capturing the White House I guess.

[[which commands us to love our neighbors as ourselves.”]]

That’s true, but do we have the courage to love htem as we should? Do we have the courage to CONFRONT them about hteir sin? A parent that loves a child does NOT allow the child to run amok nor to continue in activities which are harmful to the child- TRUE love corrects the other person even if it is a difficult hting to do or might cause them anger- Love does NOT allow them to continue in sin without confrontign htem nor does love simpyl stand idly by while they walk all over us or abuse us- to simply stand htere and take the abuse, is to NOT love that person- it is passively allowign htem to continue in a sinful state while remainign silent whiel they head to perdition-

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has given tacit approval to the Boy Scouts’ proposal to allow gay youth to join, saying they “appreciate the positive things” included in the plan to end the organization’s controversial ban on gay boys.
The Boy Scouts of America last week proposed allowing gay youth – but not adults – to participate in the private youth organization. That came two months after they floated the idea of allowing gays and lesbians of all ages to join, a proposal that was denounced by the conservative religious groups that make up a bulk of Scouting.
“We are grateful to BSA for their careful consideration of these issues. We appreciate the positive things contained in this current proposal that will help build and strengthen the moral character and leadership skills of youth as we work together in the future,” the LDS church said Thursday in a statement posted to their website.

“The current BSA proposal constructively addresses a number of important issues that have been part of the ongoing dialogue, including consistent standards for all BSA partners, recognition that Scouting exists to serve and benefit youth rather than Scout leaders, a single standard of moral purity for youth in the program, and a renewed emphasis for Scouts to honor their duty to God.”

The Mormon church tops the list of membership enrollment numbers, with 431,000 youths participating in LDS-sponsored units as of Dec. 31, 2012. That was followed by the United Methodist Church at 364,000 and the Catholic Church at 274,000. More than 70 percent of Scouting units are chartered to faith-based groups.

The Boy Scouts said Thursday in a statement that it was pleased the LDS church was “satisfied that the BSA has made a thoughtful, good-faith effort to address this issue.”
“For nearly 100 years we have worked together with the mutual goal of building the moral character and leadership skills of youth. We believe kids are better off when they are in Scouting, and the program is successful because of its relationships with valued chartered organizations like the Church,” the statement said.-NBC News

Boy Scouts May Have Misrepresented Catholic Position on Gay Leaders

Boy Scout leaders reportedly told both Latter-day Saint and Southern Baptist leaders that it had the support of the Catholic Church regarding its proposed policy change on gay members and leaders despite the fact that Catholic officials were still discussing the issue at the time, sources familiar with the conversations informed The Christian Post.

However, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops took that a step farther and told CP that it has offered no such support.

Before the BSA announced publicly on Jan. 28 that it was considering changing its policy on gays, BSA leaders spoke with leaders of the Catholic, LDS and Southern Baptist churches. According to a spokesperson for the USCCB, Bishop Robert Guglielmone of Charleston, the bishop liaison to the National Catholic Committee on Scouting, called Cardinal Timothy Dolan after BSA leaders spoke to him. Dolan did not express support for the change in that conversation, the source said. The USCCB had previously declined to comment about the situation.

Sources say both the Baptists and the Mormons are in contact with the Catholic church on the issue, but details on the discussions are confidential. The Mormon church has said publicly that it will not take a position until the BSA makes a final decision, but the Southern Baptists have been vocal in their opposition to the plan.

>>>Unless one is a Mormon; then it’s OK.

It is not OK to bully a Mormon. Unfortunately, Mormon's don't like to hear the opinion of orthodox believers and think that the calling out of the false foundation of their religion and it's false teachings...false prophets and false doctrine is bullying. It is not.

I was told...on my porch...by a pair of Mormon Elders (young teens in ties) that my faith was rotten and was an offshoot of a corrupt tree (Since I am Baptist...they say the rotten root was Catholicism). They also said (hand to God here) that I was a seed of Satan. Did they BULLY me? A Mormon would say no...yet me defending MY faith would be considered BULLYING by some here.

Now when I pointed out some very real facts about Joseph Smith (I have a photo-copy of the original book of Mormon...complete with the 4000+ corrections)...and his (And Brigham Young's) false prophecies...they probably thought I was bullying them.

So...Please. If you are going to go around and say 2000 years of Christianity is built on corrupt and false doctrine...you better be willing to put your big boy pants on when people stand up to that.

As usual this type of article confuses individual actions against ones neighbor and resistance to an invading force. Secondly, this type of article ignores the defense of ones family and loved ones. Of course if a man strike me I must turn the other cheek. However, do I turn the other cheek when my neighbor is striking my wife and kicking my child?Thirdly, this type of article always refers us to Christ's Good Samaritan story which is true enough; i.e. we do owe some individual beaten to a pulp and left by the side of the road medical care. However, it does not follow that once the victim has recovered we must then bring him to our house, marry our daughter to him, bring in to our homeland all his relatives and fellow nationals then turn our government over to them.

Hmmm...wonder if the writer ever read Matthew 23:

13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. For you neither enter yourselves nor allow those who would enter to go in. 15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel across sea and land to make a single proselyte, and when he becomes a proselyte, you make him twice as much a child of hell as yourselves.

16 “Woe to you, blind guides, who say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.’ 17 You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold or the temple that has made the gold sacred? 18 And you say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it is nothing, but if anyone swears by the gift that is on the altar, he is bound by his oath.’ 19 You blind men! For which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred? 20 So whoever swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. 21 And whoever swears by the temple swears by it and by him who dwells in it. 22 And whoever swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and by him who sits upon it.

23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint and dill and cumin, and have neglected the weightier matters of the law: justice and mercy and faithfulness. These you ought to have done, without neglecting the others. 24 You blind guides, straining out a gnat and swallowing a camel!

25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26 You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean.

27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but within are full of dead people’s bones and all uncleanness. 28 So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.”

Guess Jesus didn’t get the message about being polite and meek in the presence of evil.
