LOS ANGELES (AP) — Protesters rallied in dozens of cities Saturday as part of a global protest against seed giant Monsanto and the genetically modified food it produces, organizers said.

Organizers said "March Against Monsanto" protests were held in 52 countries and 436 cities, including Los Angeles where demonstrators waved signs that read "Real Food 4 Real People" and "Label GMOs, It's Our Right to Know."

… The U.S. Senate this week overwhelmingly rejected a bill that would allow states to require labeling of genetically modified foods.

You’re not going to “shrink government, a lot” without getting your hands dirty and going after government/corporate mergers like the Monsanto Protection bill.

Of course, it’s easier to just sit around and say “small goverment” all day long

We have three branches of government:

Executive - the President
Legislative - the Congress
Judicial - the Courts

It is CLEARLY unconstitutional for Congress to pass legislation that takes away the power of the Courts. Even if you have no problem with GMO products whatsoever, the corporate merger between Monsanto and Federal Goverment should concern you.

I see you've given up on your Monsanto subsidy, Monsanto protection from competition and Monsanto favored tax status claims.

What about your Monsanto protection from lawsuits claim? Running away from that one too?

Ummm....as much a statist globalist you are in your numerous posts....you probably shouldn’t use “patriot” in your FR name.....just a suggestion.

I really don’t want my taxes to go to companies who use the force of government to impose their products on me.

We have really amped up subsidies in recent years as we subsidize US farmers more and more because of the dumping by Communist China and Latin America due to bad trade deals and lack of enforcement.

Most of the US ag production now is shipped overseas, while lower quality foreign ag and food products are sold to Americans. Even WalMart is trying to get away from the foreign foodstuffs

We would save billions each yr if we tariffed the foreign products...and took away the taxpayer subsidies off of Ag producers in the US. It is stupid and costly to prop up domestic producers while you protect the foreign producers with trade deals

I agree! We need to grow the same foods we grew 10,000 years ago. What did the original wheat and tomatoes look like?

Harder to make a BLT. Maybe I should just stick to the bacon?

Because it’s all about bring on the New World Order.

They are taking down the United states because as long as the USA is strong, they can’t impose their NWO.

....”They are taking down the United states because as long as the USA is strong, they can’t impose their NWO”....

Well, as long as we keep voting for politicians ‘on board’ with the global agenda it won’t matter if the people are strong or not. Besides....we have far too many foreigners in this country who will support the globalists. We are the minority vote now.
