Swedes Take to the Streets to Defend their Neighborhoods
Fria Tider ^ | 5/25/13 | Lumik

Stockholm. Faced by another night of terror at the hands of predominantly immigrant rioters, Swedes grown tired of the police’s inability to put an end to the unrest took to the streets Friday night to defend their neighborhoods. The vigilantes were described as a motley crew of homeowners and concerned citizens, as well as neo-Nazi activists and football hooligans.

In the Stockholm suburb of Tumba the police decided to abandon their earlier non-intervention policy as a large group of police officers rounded up and dispersed a group of vigilantes trying to fend off rioters.

The decision to round up vigilantes while, according to Stockholm Chief of Police Mats Löfving, ”doing as little as possible” to stop rioters, met with a wave of protests in various social media and on the Internet. Representatives of some vigilante groups contacted Fria Tider to give their view of last night’s events.

– The number of police officers on the streets is simply staggering. The police appear to have focused all their resources on stopping the Swedes, Fredrik Becklin, spokesman for the nationalist youth organization Nordisk Ungdom (Nordic Youth), said Friday night.

– It makes me sick to see the police clamp down on us Swedes with full force and without warning, using nightsticks and tear gas, while they don’t do a damn thing about the immigrants. We are only trying to help maintain order, while the immigrants set cars and buildings on fire, said a young man who wished to remain anonymous.

The police, however, rejected the accusations as unfounded.

– The police talked to them and checked ID on a few, two of them were removed from the scene, they were not arrested but ”removed” as we call it, police spokeswoman Tove Hägg said to Fria Tider late Friday night.

– They were at the wrong place at the wrong time. They didn’t understand it themselves and they had been told to disperse, but refused to do so.

Later during the night the police appear to have relaxed their attitude to the presence of vigilante groups in the streets. The police is reported to have stepped aside and watched as a huge crowd of vigilantes chased immigrants throught the streets of Tumba, chanting ”the city is ours” and ”we will do what the police can’t do”. Several independent sources testify about vigilantes managing to scare away groups of rioters torching wastepaper baskets.

NJ is as segregated as any southern part of the United States (if not more so).

I am a Georgia native that travels the eastern US for a living. Have done many a job in Jersey...NYC...Chicago..etc. You got your claim ass backwards...Dunno if you've ever been down here in the dirty south...but Newark is segregated...like most urban areas in the North....not down south...we actually live amongst each other. I'd bet many NYC folks never see black people up close till they hit their twenties. Most of the black kids I grew up with in 1970's country ass Georgia were better off than I was...we ate with them..they ate with us. We all played on the same teams...and fought on the same side when the city boys from Atlanta would come starting crap.

Just a FYI...in case you actually paid a visit down here so the shock wouldn't hit so hard.

Sounds like it was just some initial confusion. Later in the night the festivities were allowed to commence.

It is what is, brother...

The other side wants us to crawl.

I’m not inclined to acquiesce.

“...Consequently they never had to bother differentiating between nazis and socialists...”

They’re (nazi and socialist) two sides of the same coin.

Re: post # 109.....

There are 7 biased buzz words in one single sentence in that lead from the Swedish newspaper article (written no doubt by a soft-on-the-muzzies reporter).

Eight snarky buzz words are capitalized, but it's an insult to the good old word "football" to be in the same sentence with the words that are slamming Swedish patriots.....so I didn't count it.

Their rags are as bad as ours.

The Swedish, Danish, Israeli and I believe the Dutch method of party list voting is not only un-democratic, it is anti-democratic.

A democratic system of election puts people into office who have been voted for by a large number of the general population. A non-democratic system of election simply puts people into office who have been selected by a handful of professional politicians.

Having party list voting is just as bad as having a class of titled nobles, some of whom are called to court to provide guidance to the administrators.

The crime commited by the advocates of party list voting is that they hold out the promise for '(ideational) minorities' to be represented ~ which never really happens since the same parliament is going to be ruled by 'the ruling coalition', so those 'minorities' get no representation at all.

Coalition politics are best played BEFORE the elections where you can actually have a substantial percentage of the electorate participating in who goes where, and why, and what issues will be featured should the candidates put forward by the coalition win.

Democracy, to exist, has to have a wide franchise so that vast numbers of the people can play a direct part at one stage or the other.

Countries trapped by party list voting can make a step towards democratic rule simply by establishing DISTRICTS with boundaries ~ where only one candidate can win.

I don’t necessarily disagree, but a very large percentage of the world’s population does. Since 60+ countries have one or another variant of proportional representation.

Leave it up to the people to come up with ideational proportional representation. The more democratic the system, the more they will take it seriously and seek to improve it.

Giving folks a vote and not a piece of the daisy chain that leads to long term state policy development is simply fraudulent

“As far as a “limited franchise” goes, Sweden had effective universal suffrage roughly 40 years before the US did.”

No wonder they are further along the Socialst curve than we are!

They’re farther down the road, but at the moment headed in the opposite direction from us.

In days of old, the Swedes were great warriors. Now they have the nuts the size of a chipmunk.

So while they (and other Don't have a clue Scandinavians) participate of ventures such as trying to divest from Israel, a Democratic, Western, civilized nation, their own (Muslim) immigrants are on the rampage again. What will it take for Europe to awaken from it's slumber? Why harass Israel when Israel is on the front lines of Western tradition, defending the Swedish and European way of life?

In my post I maintain in my post that NJ is AT LEAST AS SEGREGATED as the South; I believe you are misunderstanding what I posted.

Want to place a bet that there is also folks from the Golden Dawn Party in Sweden starting to organize . Gonna get interesting in Europe when the man in the street tells the man in City Hall to fornicate with his Mama if the guy in City Hall knows the name of the syphilitic whore that gave birth to him.

My we do live in interesting times now don’t we.
