Yesterday was a dark day for America. Delegates to a national Boy Scouts of America (BSA) meeting in Texas apparently voted overwhelmingly on Thursday to validate homosexuality among boys. We are outraged.
This is a betrayal of the highest magnitude. It's a betrayal of the boys in the Scouts' care. It's a betrayal of trusting parents. It's a betrayal of a 103-year-old institution that has molded millions of boys into men. It's a betrayal of truth and honor.
Finally, it's a betrayal of God, in Whose name the organization furthered the priceless worth of being morally straight.
The immoral campaign within the BSA to sell out America's youths on the altar of political correctness appears to have been motivated by greed for corporate dollars and fear of being "on the wrong side" of an increasingly coarse culture that not only rejects biblical truth but openly attacks it.
The fallout of this evil act will be devastating, especially in areas where fathers are rare and boys desperately need male role models, such as in the inner cities. Apparently, these boys are expendable.
The decision also furthers the false notion that people are "born gay" and have no hope of overcoming that particular temptation. The idea of "gay kids" is a tragic myth embraced by those who willfully ignore the profound moral, social and spiritual consequences of homosexuality. Also ignored are the many people who once believed they were born that way but like other sinners were healed by faith and went on to lead fuller lives.
Absent in the debate are the well-documented health risks associated with homosexual behavior, especially among males.

Institutions and money has been invested into this push for decades. Honestly I think it’s rather impressive how people have held out so far.
I don’t know how to counter such forces, so the best I do is just tune it out. 40 years of activism isn’t going to be reversed overnight.

I was in Scouting as a Youth. I have been a leader, including a Scout Master, and a member of our Scout Committee, serving as the Advancement chair on occassion. I have also donated to scouting my entire life.
As a result of your recent decision regarding openly gay youth being able to join scouting, I personally will not be giving another dime to the BSA.
I will also recommend that my children not enroll any of our grandsons into the organization...as much as it pains me, and as much as I regret the loss of this once great organization.
Part of Scouting is to be "morally straight." Those words have meaning. A gay life style is not "morally straight." Societal mores may change. But the truth does not...and you do not advance the truth by giving in to or accepting such behavior or inclinations and trying to call them "normal," or okay.
The homosexual community is now going to recruit 16-17 year old boys to become open members of the scouting organization. I do not want my 12-14 year old grandsons, or any other youth exposed to such individuals on campouts. Plain and simple. Not worth the risk.
If you think this will not be discussed, and that such kids will not promote that life-style through conversations on such events...you are dilluding yourselves.
My church, the LDS Church, will continue with the scout program within its own congregations until and unless they accept adult leaders who are homosexual. That is what the Church has indicated is its line. The Church teaches that homosexuals can be members of the church as long as they are celebate in these desires. In other words, they can have urges, but if they resist temptation and rely on the atonementof Christ, then they can be members in good standing as much as a heterosexual who does not commit fornication or adultery.
While I can understand this, and agree with it when it comes to young people who are serious about trying to overcome their deviant lifestyle...for the reasons I just enumerated I cannot support it within the scouts.
I cannot and will not risk that set of circumstances on my own grandkids, or anyone else's if I can help it. And I can help it by not supporting either materially, monetarily, or with my time an organization that has decided to abdicate the moral high ground in order to avoid adverse public relations pressure from the homosexual community...which is exactly what is in play here.

As a former Scout, I am very disturbed by this.
I'm surprised more familes haven't pursued this option before, though I suspect a lot of them will now.
You counter it by using their tactics against them. Once you control the younger generation and indoctrinate them then its only a matter of time.
The first word I’ve been using is “COWARDICE.” That’s for their caving in to the forces of evil and deviancy. All my life I had the highest respect for the organization, but now I have only deep, dark contempt.
But, “BETRAYAL” is valid, too. As the BSA has betrayed everything it once stood for. It exists now as an indecent affront to all those who came before. They’ve spit in the face of their history and heritage. I hope the BSA and all those who committed this betrayal meet the ignoble demise that fits their vile action, and that it includes a one-way ticket straight to hell.

Months ago our church decided that if this came to pass we would dissolve our scout troop (yes, we have enough young folks to have our own troop) and start our own scouting program. We will be drafting a letter to the BSA giving notice of our intent and the reasons.
Enough is enough.
This is the only BSA I respect anymore.
It was a commie switcheroo. All they needed was some sort of gay element nosed inside to compromise it all.
They didn't need adult gay leaders.
What straight young man is going to want to join it now?

It’s simply theft as the repugnant queer stick forces out the old guard. The homosexuals thereby capture the BSA endowment/treasury and assets.

Scouting is a huge part of the whole anglosphere way of thinking in the end of the Victoria era. There is a reason we use Kipling’s jungle book - the same ideas and the same way of life.
It’s also why it’s under attack as an institution.

While I never joined the Scouts, (I am not a joiner)I had similar interests as a child and admired their principles.
After this horrible decision, I believe the Scouts are
destroyed as a principled organization.
They don’t explain why their different treatment between adult and under 18 gay males.
Is homosexuality immoral or not? They made a purely political move.
We will see how it pays off.
I am unclear, on, how a boy young enough to be a boy scout can be openly fag? That knowledge would imply statutory rape.
