In an explosive new bombshell report, the New Yorkers Ryan Lizza claims that the Obama administration deliberately kept Fox News reporter James Rosen in the dark about the warrant to search through his personal emails.
Some new info in the leak case that targeted Fox's James Rosen coming shortly...— Ryan Lizza (@RyanLizza) May 24, 2013

Are we taking bets as to when Holder will resign?
what does this mean for those of us who may be law challenged?
Fox News needs to stop being Obama Supporter....and sue the Obama Admin.
They look like wusses by talking and doing nothing.
Is that Terrorist-Supporter part owner telling Fox not to sue the First Muzzie
I guess the “bombshell” is that the New Yawker is reporting it. We all knew that the thugs that comprise the 0bama regime are nothing but a bunch of low lifes that lie and coverup for their gang leader.
It sounds like a fishing expedition.
Me too. Why is this a bombshell?
Has he testified otherwise or something?
Some say tip of the iceberg.... My guess is Holder’s been signing the warrants at least daily and well beyond FoxNews.
These guys are going for a clean sweep over the Bill of Rights. Doing pretty well, but the finish line is at a jail cell door.
How many tax paid lottery style government pensions does Holder collect when he bails?
I imagine he’ll get enough to buy some island in the Caribbean...
This is a First Amendment violation (essentially criminalizing normal news-gathering techniques), but likely not a Fourth Amendment violation, as they had a warrant.
More like a....
So many bombshells going off, I'm having a hard time finding cover! I'm also having a hard time finding a single foe touched by any of them.
the left owes Nixon an apology
They have to serve a warrant. They can write whatever they want and tuck it into their pockets and it doesn’t mean a thing.
As far as I know, they have to serve the warrant on the person who controls the property to be searched. In this case, that was Google.
Fox News should issue untraceable throwaway cell phones to its reporters.
This really is nothing unusual. This was a judge-issued warrant to search e-mails and tap phones.
When feds do this with mobsters, they never tell the bad guys they were doing it, unless they hit pay dirt and it comes up at trial (the existence of the warrant and what evidence they got as a result).
If they come up with nothing, they do not send out a letter saying, Sorry. Our bad. We snooped for nothing.”
I hate to say it, but nothing to see here.
BUT I am all for lame stream media squawking about anything to make noise on thse scandals.
Hopefully it makes the WH feel embattled. Bunker mentality sets in.
"Two Out Of Three Cases Where Google Gives User Data To Government Don't Involve A Warrant
1/23/2013 @ 12:10PM
It may be easier than you think for government entities to demand the private data youve stored on Googles servers. Most of the time, it doesnt even require a judges signature. On Wednesday Google released its semi-annual Transparency Report, its voluntary admission of how many times it removed data from its services or quietly handed users information to government agencies in the last six months. Between July and December of 2012, Google says it received 8,438 U.S. government requests for its users data and complied to some degree in 88% of those cases. Thats up a remarkable 33% from the 6,321 data requests Google received in the same period the year before, and marks a 70% increase since Google first started issuing its Transparency Reports in 2009. But the new wrinkle in Googles data is a breakdown of how many of those requests approached Google with a search warrant: Just 22%, according to the company. By contrast, 68% of requests were issued only with a subpoena, which unlike warrants dont require showing a judge probable causesolid evidence that the data was relevant to a crime. (The other 10% of the requests involved some sort of court order or other miscellaneous process.)"
I would bet on "never."
They are all above the law, starting with the usurper, and nobody is holding them to account.
Resign? He should be in prison.
Ask the old CIA director what the FBI can find when they start digging. James is lucky he didn’t have any skeletons in his email like the general did.
Note that I’m not saying that what they did here was OK. It wasn’t - it was a clear and egregious act of intimidation against the press. Just that they seem to have *technically* complied with 4th amendment requirements.
Are you kidding? On a day when The Prince decides to get right in our faces with the Nuland nomination I seriously doubt he’s going to ask for Holder’s rezzie. In fact, he’ll probably double down and insist that Eric do further damamge to the Constitution. He really is daring us to do something (not saying what)......
How do you conceal the warrant from the supposed perp who it is aimed at??
How would Google have his emails?
Yes. Holder testified fairly recently to a congressional committee (House, IIRC) that he had "no knowledge" of anyone in the press being targeted. He had signed the Rosen warrant request himself. I believe that he was testifying under oath at the time. There was an FR thread about this, I'll see if I can find a link to it.
So the Obama administration was secretly reading the emails prior to the election? wow...
...He argued that disclosure of the search warrant would preclude the government from monitoring the account, should such a step become necessary in the investigation. Machen added that some investigations are continued for many years because, while the evidence is not yet sufficient to bring charges, it is sufficient to have identified criminal subjects and/or criminal activity serious enough to justify continuation of the investigation.
Machen insisted the investigation would be compromised if Rosen was informed of the warrant, and also asked the court to order Google not to notify Rosen that the company had handed over Rosens e-mails to the government.
“Fox News needs to stop being Obama Supporter....”
We should not want another cheerleader even if they were to cheer for our side as we are seeing what happens when any administration gets media cover up 24/7. 100% guarantee you that the GOP would be just as corrupt with similar cover by the MSM.
We should want all media outlets to go after ALL politicians and every level of government. That’s their job which they are no longer doing.
It's easy when you operate as a self appointed Star Chamber.
“We have a warrant for youe arrest, but you’ll just have to trust us on that”
Eric WithHolder is superglued to the Obama administration because he has evidence Obama is a fraud. Would YOU let him go if you were Obama? LOL
I'll take 5:30 pm next Friday.
Holder isn’t even the tip of the iceberg. This entire apparatus we refer to as the Evil Obama Regime is the most rotten collection of evildoers in history!
Someone posted there are rumors that there are trucks moving stuff for Gov of MA.
I suspect Holder is out fairly soon.
“By contrast, 68% of requests were issued only with a subpoena...”
Hmmm. So 50% are conservatives. I wonder who the other 18% are?
When Huffington Post says Holder has to go, maybe Obama will dump him, but he’ll just get a professorship in Chicago and be fine.
I just heard on Fox that DOJ wanted to extend the search on his mail even longer.
I see that Machen has a connection to the contempt of congress thing on Holder:
Opansy has faked and lied and cheated to get thru life and will never change
Today on Fox News Channel’s TV show “THE FIVE” they released the proof today from NBC (Yes - NBC!) that Eric Holder signed the subphoena for the DOJ to grab FNC investigative reporter James Rosen’s phone record and personal emails that an FBI agent lied to a Judge stating Rosen was a criminal co-conspirator in espionage that endangers US national security and is also a “flight risk”.
Yet AG Holder had just a few days before (under sworn oath) said he knew nothing about going after journalists and that he he had never had any part of it. Lying under oath to Congess is a federal felony!
A current existing federal statute firmly states that a civilian employee (like AG Eric Holder) shalll be (not “may” be) subject to a five (5) year prison sentence and a fine if they are proven to have committed that federal felony of using the color (or cover) of government authority to commit that felony.
Now we have proof that US Attorney General Eric Holder attempted to illegally seal the records that the US Department of Justice illegally and unconstitutionally did go after journalists - specifically Fox News investicative reporter James Rosen (and his parents too!)
So AG Eric Holder has finally now sworn under oath that he has committed a federal criminal felony (not just a “civil” infraction of the law) to attack a person or political party.
“I do not recall” can not cut it with the IRS or the FBI or the DOJ. Politicians and bureaucrats work for the American citizens and are subject to the laws of America. They are not above the law and are not immune from the restrictions of the United States Constitution or the laws of the land.
Let us see how B Hussein Opansy II and Eric Holder attempt to deny this and walk away untouched.
The time has finally come to remove those infected and contagious parts that endanger Americans and America.
Doctor you shall cut and remove the cancers now.
There’s a thread or two on Deval Patrick replacing Holder.
