British Foreign Secretary William Hague, who is currently visiting Israel, said in an interview with Sky News that Israel has lost some support in Britain and in other European countries due to its settlement construction policy.

He warned that the window of opportunity for Israel and the Palestinians to agree to form a two-state solution was closing fast. …

Another Tory In Name Only. Go join Labour or the LibDems, Mr. Hague, and stop with the lies about “settlements” and the moribund-since-1947 “two-state solution”.

The Brits are concerned about settlements? Like Northern Ireland, Gibralter?

The UK is being taken over by the Muslims. It is only a matter of time before the UK declares Israel to be a rogue state, anyways.

Losing support of anti-Semites? BOO FREAKIN HOO! Just because Lawrence of Arabia took it up the butt from Arabs doesn’t mean Israel has to. Go to Hades, Hague - and worry about the Muslim swine beheading Britons on your very streets!

The Foreign Secretary's motives might be suspect, but he is 100% correct. That doesn't mean that Israel's settlement policy is wrong.

It means that Israel is losing the propaganda war, a war that might have been unwinnable in the first place.

There is no such place as Palestine....it is an imaginary state cooked up by Jordon and the other Arab nations in protest of the UN doctrine creating the state of Israel. Israel should clear all the so called Palestinians out...deport them to neighboring Arab nations and take that property as spoils of war!!!

Sorry to have to say, the UK is going down the tubes anyway (especially with the rotting out of so much of its Christian faith, plus of course the horrible immigration problem its political elite has created for the good British people).

Isr would certainly like to maintain good relations with UK but if UK goes into the Islamo-Nazi camp, Isr won’t be able to help prevent that. The Jewish people in UK should move to Israel ASAP! History has a strong tendency to repeat itself and you do have to remember the massacre of York, the expulsion, the White Paper, and all the rest. UK has contributed so much to Western civilization but countries CAN and DO deteriorate. Heads up, Brits! (and all the best to you, we are praying for you...)

Jordan isn’t involved in “Palestine” that I can see. The “Palestinians” want to annex Jordan though.

Why yes, the Brits have always displayed such friendliness towards the Jews, always. Not. Seems they are much more fond of Arabs disemboweling and beheading their citizens and soldiers, while supporting enormous Arab/Muslim families in their country with public funds, including supplying them housing and medical care. So this is something to really, really worry about.

Depends on what kind of Brits you mean. You think the Brits of today would have been behind the Balfour Declaration, especially given their attitude towards “settlements” today?

The British people are not antisemites and never have been, in fact the UK is one of the few European nations that has rejected (from the 1920’s and 30’s to today) anti-semitism and fascism. The anti-israel mob in the UK are a minority of loud bigots who make themselves heard, but they dont speak for me or for most British people.

And even IF people in the UK criticise Israeli policy, its a lazy argument to equate criticism of Israel with antisemitism. By that logic, the fact I think Obama is utterly useless means I am a racist. Or anti-american.

Those Brits you sneer at wrote the Balfour Declaration, took in tens of thousands of Jewish German refugees, stood alone against the Nazis whilst America stood by (and in fact stopped Jewish refugees from entering the US), liberated Belsen, and saved the lives of millions of Jews.

Not sure quite what you’re getting at, specifically what part of the Balfour declaration you’re referring to, and I am not an expert on the particulars of same.

Brits have very little, if any love for Jews. It’s...genetic or something. They are suppressed anti-Semites, IMHO. What they dislike about Jews, I do not know, but I’d assume it’s kind of the Euro thing, that most of the various nationalities seem to think that Jews are such good businessmen that they must be taking advantage of others. Envy, in other words. Born, perhaps, of the generally rigid class structure of most Euro societies. If you’re born poor, you die poor, and how dare you aspire upwards, it makes everyone else look bad.

They can have it. But regardless of the nuances, Brits are very widely anti-Semitic (which makes no sense because the Arabs they love are Semites) and so I conclude they are by and large anti-Jew. I believe most Jews understand the antipathy and in a chagrined way, accept this on the part of the Brits like they get it from most other groups.

Israeli policy being falsely criticized (and I have never heard a single legitimate criticism) is most definitely antisemitic, especially in light of the goals of the “Palestinians” and also due to the fact that Israel is primarily a Jewish state. It’s not equivalent to a negative opinion of Obama (more often than not, being wholly legitimate) being a display of anti-Americanism.

If that were wholly true, then they would have sided with the Nazis during WWII.

(I am aware of antisemitic propaganda such as “Hugh of Lincoln”, which was a blood-libel event that occurred in the 1200s, prominent enough for Chaucer to have mentioned it.)
