That’s all nice, but... Gosh, it would’ve been preferable for concealed carry to be legal over there. The outcome could’ve been soooo different.

That would make 'comforting' unlikely.

Still its a good thing they did.

The stories of women confronting the jihadis and protecting the body of the fallen soldier have, from the first, reminded me of the Holy Myrrhbearers: only the women disciples of Jesus were brave enough to go to the tomb with embalming ointments. And like these women, doubtless they would have denied their own courage and said, “we only wanted to take care of the man.”

I realize that my following question/comment is cynical but given jihadists who committed the crime, I wonder whether any white women who tried to comfort the dying soldier would have been beheaded as well. In other words, did these women survive only as a result of the color of their skin. And damn, I hate thinking and writing things like that.

No, the first woman one of the terrorists talked to after the crime was a white woman who just stood there..........The photo is available somewhere.

then I publicly apologize for my cynical comments. My system froze when I tried to access to the original website so the only picture I saw was the one earlier in this thread. Again I apologize to everyone reading my prior comment.

For pete's sake, there is nothing to apologize for........

As a side note, these are two of the most disturbing photos I have ever seen. Not one one single person in the vicinity of those murderers made any attempt to bum rush them and attempt to take them down. NOT ONE! All they did was stand and watch.......

Because they would probably get arrested and charged with a hate crime.

Looking at the damage on the car it looks like the victim was mortally wounded before the muzzie murderers started to stab him. My guess the crowd knew that.

No, he’s talking about the wusses in the 2nd pic standing there in a huddled mass. Someone should have put a flying knee drop into that muzzies spine or smashed his head with the nearest object. His back is towards them. Cowards all.

THE FOLLOWING COMMENTS MAY BE CONSIDERED GRAPHIC BY SOME, SO PLEASE SKIP THIS COMMENT IF YOU MAY BE SQUEAMISH CONCERNING DISCUSSION OF DEATH BY BEHEADING. There will be no profanity. Thank you!

A couple of points to note.

Firstly, it is probable that Drummer Lee Rigby remained 'alive' and possibly even 'aware' for several minutes after his beheading, if being run down by a car did not kill him. Though cut off from oxygen and blood, the brain remains 'alive' for a short period of time. I have read of 'recipients' of justice from France's 'National Razor', making facial expressions and their eyes even following objects, for a short period of time after its use; rare, though it has occurred. It is possible, even if his head were completely severed, for him to hear sounds, even if he appeared unconcious, prior to death. As he no longer had a trunk to allow breathing, he would be unable to speak or make a sound. The prayers of these two women may have been a comfort to him, and most certainly could have been for those near by.

Secondly, as a Christian, if Mr. Rigby were not a Believer, his hearing their prayers, may have afforded him the opportunity to accept Jesus and be saved. We know that the repentent robber on the cross obviously had no time to perform good works, yet Jesus told him that, "...today you shall be with Me in Paradise." (Luke 23:40-43) On that basis, I believe that there was an opportunity for his redemption, if he was not saved.

Thirdly, I have seen some amazing things occur involving healing among family and friends, things that doctors can only explain as 'flukes', or cannot explain, but yet, deny even the possibility that God could have performed a miracle. Remember, in Canada, the vast majority do not believe in God and, in fact, many think of themselves as gods!

A gentleman at a church that I used to attend, witnessed a man come back to life at a prayer service, after having been dead for 15 minutes. I have found no fault in anything else that he has ever said, so I cannot believe that he would lie about this.

I am currently assisting a Pastor friend, originally from Liberia, to set up a church in a lower class neighbourhood in Calgary, an isolated community of 6,000 people, with no churches for two miles. Some of the stories he has shared of what God has done, just amaze me! In Africa, they see and acknowledge many more miracles than we do.

My guess the crowd knew that.

Probably but do you honestly think that since they were only brandishing knives and machete's that a crowd of Americans wouldn't have tried to take them down?

If not armed I would have looked around for anything on the ground to use as a weapon. Britain has become a nation of pacifists and "A Clockwork Orange" was certainly prescient
