I think they were probably careless because he appeared to be cooperating and he grabbed somebody’s gun or at least attempted to do so and was shot by one of them. The article mentions two shots.

He was an MMA specialist with a quick temper and it sounds to me as if they might have underestimated him. Also, they were interviewing him at home, on his own turf, which is never a good idea.

Part of the reason for the secrecy is no doubt to avoid tipping off the local Chechens so that they can hide their jihadis, but I wonder if another part isn’t perhaps a local FBI decision to avoid tipping off headquarters (meaning Holder). He has no intention of letting the Boston bombings be thoroughly investigated and has done everything possible to protect the surviving terrorist.

Then that would have been the cover story from the beginning.

It was a strange eyebrow raising story that made one wonder when it first came out and now with the story change it leaves one really questioning, especially with all the scandals going on. They have lost the believability factor.
