Story highlights:
Lois Lerner, the embattled director of Exempt Organizations at the IRS, served as head of the Federal Election Commissions (FEC) enforcement division from 1986 until 2001.
While there, the FEC sued the Christian Coalition for allegedly conspiring with political candidates. During the case, representatives for the FEC asked intrusive questions on religion of several people involved, including Lt. Col. Oliver North.
At one point, a representative demanded to know details regarding Pat Roberstson praying for North after reading a letter from North to Robertson indicating as much.
The groups attorney also noted that during the investigation third parties were required to comply with burdensome FEC document requests, reminiscent of the IRS/Tea Party requests.
The Christian Coalitions attorneys adamantly objected, and the group eventually rebuffed the charges.

I guess tyrants never change their stripes.
Was Lois Lerner a member of the union that represents the IRS employees? Were only union employees working on the Tea Party requests for tax exemptions?
It’s important that we examine this at a deeper level.
Think about it, why would someone ask another person what their *prayers* are?
Take it to an extreme. Say a UFO alien landed on Earth, saw people praying, and asked them what they were doing? Having *no concept* of what prayer, or even God, is, the alien is puzzled.
Now say there is someone raised an atheist, who has never prayed before, because they don’t believe in it, or God; and are genuinely mystified by prayer. They just don’t get it.
Their reality is a mirror they are gazing into, where nothing matters but their thoughts, desires, and impulses. They imagine that other people are the same. That there is nothing outside of themselves and others that influences them at all. They influence, they are not influenced.
They cannot imagine God, because they do not see God reflected in their mirror. That other people believe in God makes no sense to them at all.
They are puzzled, perplexed by prayer. Why do you do that? What are you praying?
Whereas many of us see God there and everywhere.
