Won’t change course on EU referendum, PM warns; promises no more divisive issues, gay marriage

David Cameron warned restive Tory MPs he will not change policy on an EU referendum yesterday—but promised there would be no more divisive issues such as gay marriage.

Seeking to draw a line under a turbulent fortnight, the Prime Minister said his party could now rally behind his pledge to give voters an in/out choice on British membership of the EU by 2017, following an attempt to claw back key powers.

He warned Euroskeptics who may seek further concessions: “It’s a very clear, very decisive policy. [It] doesn’t matter the pressure I come under from outside the Conservative Party or in Europe or inside the Conservative Party—this policy is not going to change.”

But following splits in his party over same-sex marriage, approved by MPs earlier this week, the Prime Minister attempted to reassure backbenchers that it would not be the “first of many other issues like that”. …

Not enough to stop Cameron from getting sacked, I think. The fellow has lied too much, not only to his own party but to the people that voted for his party.

I hope he gets sacked for all the backstabbing he’s been doing to the Brits. He’s acting like the British Barack Obama.

I just hope UKIP can get enough support before then so the election is not handed to the far left.

Cameron is soft on everthing.

He called it terrorism but was worried about a violent reaction to it saying the terrorists are “trying to divide us”.

They sure are with knives and meat cleavers.
