Hard to imagine a more demoralizing order for a soldier than to tell him to take off the uniform and hide after an enemys attack. And the powers that be know it: Theyre stressing that the orders temporary in order to blunt public indignation over their decision.
The twisted punchline here is that the victim yesterday wasnt wearing a uniform. The two degenerates who murdered him apparently targeted him because they saw him entering or exiting a barracks. Theres the next move, presumably evacuate the barracks nationwide until theyre safe. For soldiers.
Defence sources said the order had been given that uniform should not be worn by those travelling alone, or on public transport as a common sense precaution immediately after the killing
A source stressed the order was temporary while investigations into the killing carried on and the decision would be reviewed in the next few days
Personally, I would argue against it, [Col Richard Kemp] told the Today programme. As we saw in this case you dont need to have somebody in uniform, you just need to have someone who knows a bit about soldiers and does a bit of observation in the vicinity of a barracks and you can identify a soldier very quickly
The Ministry of Defence has already announced it is increasing security at all barracks in London.
A lingering mystery: Why did none of the (apparently many) bystanders intervene yesterday to stop the jihadis in the act? By some accounts, it took 20 minutes for the cops to get there. The terrorists took time to chat with people nearby. Unless I missed something, no one laid a hand on them until they were eventually shot by police. Is that the Kitty Genovese syndrome at work or something worse?(continued)

What you do is put more uniforms on the street, not less.
Arm them too. Next guy tries this stunt needs to be put down on the spot.
The soldiers should be carrying and normally uniformed.
Nice diesel btw. Lost track of that thread.
This is the column by Richard Fernandez that he references later in the article:
The Manhood of the West (The “incident” In Woolrich, England)
The british politicans just pissed their pants...
The Islamists will notice this....
Expect more butchery as a result...
An entire Western army retreating in fear due to the actions of two blacks. In the army’s own homeland no less!
If you have foxes killing your chickens you don’t dress the chickens up in turkey costumes, you kill the foxes.
Wear your uniforms PM tells forces
“If you have foxes killing your chickens you dont dress the chickens up in turkey costumes, you kill the foxes.”
Not if your goal is to kill chickens.
Instead they should order their troops to wear their uniforms in public in THEIR country WITH loaded sidearms and shoot dead any foreign bastard or foreign bastard feigning British Citizenship who attempts to assault them.
This is what happens when your government lets the enemy move in or invade your country en masse
I don’t think our army has time to issue such an order as they may be too busy buggering each other
Back in the 1980s the SAS did the same and probably still do, they were surprised that we Americans could wear our jazzed up, elite unit (civilian) T-shirts or uniforms to and from duty.
Freaking idiots! They ALL need to wear uniforms and WEAPONRY enogh to put down any of these rabid dogs if they try to attack.
“There were also questions over why it took around 20 minutes for armed police to arrive on the scene, during which time the killers calmly walked up and down the road, carrying their bloodied knives and a pistol, while members of the public confronted them.”
Not politically correct to think that way thought. Murderous thugs on a rampage need a hug, not a doubletap.
The UK has been taken over by bloodthirsty Muslims.
Coming to a country near you soon.
Was going to buy it for $2,000 but ultimately got it for $100.
