Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) blasted members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Tuesday, which voted overwhelmingly to arm elements of the Syrian opposition in a bill co-sponsored by Sen. Robert Menendez (D-NJ) and Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN). "This is an important moment," Paul said, addressing his Senate colleagues. "You will be funding, today, the allies of al Qaeda. It's an irony you cannot overcome."

Rand Paul spoke as a guest on the Mark Levin show. He said he didn’t support the amnesty bill. He said he would NOT vote for it.

Marco Rubio the liberal progressive from Florida is the senator who should be blamed for this.

Who sponsored this legislation? and what connection -if any to the Benghazi Cover-up? And I submit if they are not active in seeking the honest and complete answers as to why the epic fail on the part of the O Administration leading up to and following the attacks—they they are suspect.

I read the story, and it doesn’t appear to be about immigration at all. It’s amazing to watch a thread get highjacked.

You are right about what it isn't about.

Hope you don't blame me for the diversion.

I thought the interesting part of the article was the lack of enough Republicans against arming the Syrian "rebels".

Why is the foreign relations community of “think tanks” and lobby groups that own most senators (they tend to own politicians by funneling campaign monies to politicians and provide them with staff and then hire them when they are out of office) so hell bent on overthrowing Syria’s Assad that they will arm al-Qaeda?

And the notion the west will somehow vett the Syrian rebels correctly and provide only Jeffersonian Democratic Syrians with arms is a fig leaf designed to let these politicians to escape the truth on Sunday talk shows that the Sunni rebels in Syria are fighting for Sunni domination rights not democratic human rights.

If giving aid and comfort to our sworn enemies is not treason, then what is the new definition of treason, to replace what the Constitution says?

I suspect this is to cover Obama’s butt for when the weapons show up with US serial numbers. They have to hurry up and legalize what this lawless regime has already done.

But even if treason is enacted, the Constitution still calls it treason. Giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the country and Constitution. Obama is an enemy of this country and Constitution. CAIR is an enemy of this country and Constitution. When we let that pass without saying anything, we basically got rid of the whole concept of treason. So now ANYTHING is permissible - EVEN our own country arming our enemies against us. When that is ho-hum, I think we have to go back to the drawing board. I’m thinking more and more that this country is not salvageable. We are going to have to start over.

Since we are dealing with the disloyal democrats of the Senate it would be more efficient for them to just let Al Qaeda buy the RPGs direct from the US Army.

Two questions I would want to ask them on the Sunday talkshows:

1. Are you happy about the Syrian "rebels" taking a shot with a missile at a Russian civilian passenger plane.

2. Does the murder and rape of Ambassador Stevens make you feel confident about supporting Islamist Muslim rebels?

The arms may be free to the rebels but the military industrial complex donating to these politicians will get paid.

Tony Rezko, Obama's original financier is Syrian and has partnered with the Nation of Islam.

Don Rickles knows the democrats really well. Here’s what he says about them!
Hello, Dummies! Oh my God, look at you. Anyone else hurt in the accident? > > Seriously,Senator Reid has a face of a Saint - a Saint Bernard. Now I know why they call you the> arithmetic man. You add partisanship, subtract pleasure, divide attention, and multiply ignorance.> Reid is so physically unimposing, he makes Pee Wee Herman look like Mr. T. And Reid’s so dumb, he makes Speaker Pelosi look like an intellectual. Nevada is soooo screwed! If I were less polite, I’d say Reid makes Kevin Federline look successful. > > Speaking of the Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, hubba, hubba! Hey baby, you must’ve been something before electricity. Seriously, the ex-Speaker may look like an idiot and talk like an idiot but don’t let that fool you - She really is an idiot!!> > Charlie Rangel: Still alive and still robbing the taxpayers blind. What does that make, six decades of theft? Rangel’s the only man with a rent-controlled mansion. He’s the guy who writes our tax laws but forgot to pay taxes on $75 grand in rental income! So why isn’t he the Treasury Secretary? Rangel runs more scams than a Nigerian Banker.> > Barney Frank: He’s a better actor than Fred Flintstone. Consider that he and Dodd caused the whole financial meltdown, and they’re not only not serving time with Bubba and Rodney, they’re still heading up the financial system! Let’s all admit it, Barney Frank slobbers more than a sheepdog on Novocain. How did this guy get elected? Oh, that’s right, he’s from Massachusetts . That’s the state that elects Mr. Charisma, John Kerry, man of the people! > > You know, if Senator Dodd were any more crooked, you could open wine bottles with him. Here’s a news flash, Dodd: When your local newspaper calls you a “lying weasel,” it may be time to retire. Dodd’s involved in more shady deals than the Clintons . Even Rangel looks up to him!> > Press SecretaryRobert Gibbs, I really respect you. Especially given your upbringing ~ All you’ve overcome. I heard your birth certificate is an apology from the condom factory. I don’t know what makes you so dumb, but it really works for you. Personally, I don’t think you’re a fool, but what’s my opinion compared to that of thousands of others?> > As for President Hussein Obama, what can I say? They say Hussein is arrogant and aloof, but I don’t agree. Now it’s true when you enter the room, you have to kiss his ring. I don’t mind, but he has it in his back pocket. His mind is open to new ideas; so open that ideas simply pass through it. Obama lies so much, I was actually surprised to find out his first name really is Barry or Barack or something? Just don’t ask about his middle name! But Obama was able to set a record. He actually lied more in one day than Bill Clinton did in four years.> > President Obama just completed the UNHOLY andANTI - AMERICANTRIFECTA:> > 1st president in 110 years to miss the annual Army-Navy Football Game.> 1st president to not attend any Christmas religious observance.> 1st president to stay on vacation after a terrorist attack.> > AND ALL IN THE SAME MONTH! WHAT A GREAT MUSLIM PRESIDENT WE HAVE!!!> > So, Are You Going To Share This??> WITH ALL YOUR FRIENDS?> OR AM I GONNA HAVE TO COME LOOKING FOR YA?

It would appear that Rand Paul, rather than stick to conservative principles, is taking a more Myth Romney approach of trying to please as many people as possible.

A more charitable take on Rand is that he's just following the libertarian line consistently, for better or for worse. So it's not surprising that he's a disappointment on immigration while being on the mark when it comes to economics and foreign policy.

not at all, just the usual suspects doing what they usually do. Any thread that even mentions Rand Paul is immediately highjacked into the immigration bill, and he probably isn’t even going to vote for it. If he’s taking on McCain or Little Lindsey, they are out all the quicker, and that makes me wonder.

I agree with you that it’s shocking that establishment Republicans are going along with this.

The Sunday talk shows are bought and paid for instruments of the beltway's so called Military Industrial Complex - and I hate how that makes me sound like some sort of 1950s conspiracy kook but it is very near the truth. Which is why the questions asked seem to be leading questions as if they were set up to have the senator or whoever it is reply back in a fixed manner the way movie stars are given the questions and topics ahead of time on the late night talk shows.

The whole Benghazi answer Rice gave on such a talk show on Sunday (and how Mccain is on almost every Sunday urging us to arm the rebels in Syria and gets no question back about the cannibal islamists there for him to answer) shows how fake a process it all is.
