She’s pleading the Fifth because someone is about to take the fall for the IRS scandal, and it sure as hell isn’t going to be Barry Obama. Were I being setup as the designated fall guy (gal), I’d take the Fifth, too.

Much better to subpoena the head of the Nat’l Tax Employees Union, apply the oath, and ask HER about the stuff discussed when SHE visited the WH on key dates involving tax exemption policy in Cincinnati...and who she passed that guidance on to.
And while we’re at it, will somebody—anybody—PLEASE subpoena General Ham and ask HIM what he was doing on the night of September 11, 2012?

Many do not make the connection. They think the government has vaults filled with money they can dispense however they see fit.
I bet you that at least four out of five voters cannot articulate why it would be a bad idea for the government to give every American a million dollars. Hell, three out four might even think it’s a good idea.
But when a mealy mouthed official takes the fifth, they know something is up.
OK Issa and crew need to be ready for the BS drama saga that comes with this. The communist libs will do everything they can to paint this lady as a sympathetic figure, being dogged and harassed by the big bad GOP. Get ready to hear about how she just beat cancer, or has been told her daughter has a terminal illness, or she lost a son in Iraq, or a little nephew at Sandy Hook, etc...and the GOP wants to put her on the spot for doing her job. tsk tsk,,such meanies!

If congress has evidence she participated in any of this, she should be charged criminally and stripped of her pension.
Ok, I'll buy that, in a court of law. But in the court of public opinion, if she didn't commit a crime, why take the fifth?
More than that, Issa should immediately propose sanctions against her, that while her 5th Amendment rights do protect her from self-incriminating testimony in a criminal case, they *do not* protect her employment by the federal government.
And unless she is dismissed by the IRS, with a permanent bar to future US government employment, as well as for any organization receiving US government contracts or funding, the appropriation for the IRS will include a provision to bar them from paying her any monies, providing her with an office or other support. She will lose any and all government security clearances and government benefits.
The IRS will also be barred for paying or reimbursing any of her future legal expenses. She will lose any government vehicle, credit card, expense account, etc.
Then the next step will be for the committee to subpoena all of her subordinates and offer them immunity in exchange for testimony against her in court, if they are aware of any such criminal wrongdoing on her part.
That will make for good press if they play the video of her exercising her Fifth Amendment right. She is entitled to do so, and jurors in her trial (assuming this goes where it probably should) should not assume guilt, but voters are entitled to assume she is hiding corruption and probably White House influence.
..... I think we will find that this will probably be the beginning of a trend as many more Obamaphiles plead the fifth. It will be deemed as a patriotic protest against the relentless GOP racist anti American witch hunts. The left will cheer them on and consider it a victory against the evil fascism of conservatives. Outside of lying under oath ... It's the best they can do to protect their Dear Leader whom they consider the protector of freedom.
Force her to appear; force her to plead; hold her in contempt. File impeachment charges. Take her job, her pension and send the biotch to jail.
