President Barack Obama called Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin on Monday to express his concern about a monstrous tornado that wreaked havoc in the Oklahoma City suburbs. The White House said Obama told the governor that he’s directed the government and the Federal Emergency Management Agency to provide any assistance she needs. FEMA has sent a special team to Oklahoma’s emergency operations center to help out and dispatch resources. The White House said Obama’s homeland security team is keeping him updated on the situation. The tornado flattened entire neighborhoods in the southern suburb of Moore with winds up to 200 mph, leaving buildings on fire and landing a direct blow to an elementary school.

obama has ignored every disaster in Alabama and Mississippi... because we despise his muslim arse... ask why he never came to Huntsville for relief... or any other Southern State. Oklahoma will see him because he is in deep trouble and his administration teeters on the brink of destruction. hillary says he stays drunk all of the time and that valerie jarret is acting president. This was leaked from her upcoming 25 million dollar book deal.

No worries, he'll be walking through the rubble soon, hugging moms and holding babies and the ever compliant media will be on board calling him then "comforter in chief".

Just like last year, just weeks before the election. He was on the ropes, then Hurricane Sandy interceded, bringing with it all the Commander-in-Chief photo ops.

It will not work this time... there are forces at work that are more powerful than obama and his clan... and scandals and scandals within scandals break every day.

NEW BENGHAZI WHISTLE-BLOWERS

obama will not get a pass and no disaster will save him. He is being assaulted on every front and the battlefield expands daily.

This will bring a new wave of national Obamalove, and Americans, with their gnat-like attention spans, will forget all about Benghazi, IRS-Tea Party, and the DOJ-AP flaps. They'll all be deemed "old news."

I'd like to believe that's the case... but I don't. We're talking about Americans here. All is immediately forgotten when they gaze at the newest shiny thing.

We have extra money here in Texas - how about we throw in 500 million or so in to help OK. Wouldn’t it be great if we showed how states can help out each other, and that money does NOT have to come from DC?

Didn’t I just hear that the folks in Long Island are still without homes and help?

Yes, but the election's long over. They're not needed anymore.

Oklahoma can rebuild fine without Obama and without FEMA. We’ll have a photo op, they’ll need to bring Air Force One to Oklahoma City and he’ll have to tour the area. Watch the folks in Oklahoma give him their BACK. It was the state that LEAST voted for him in the election I believe.

That's just silly.

You rebuild, but with safety precautions.

"The cynic in me first thought on hearing about the tornado was that I bet Obama and his minions are happy to get his scandals off the front page for a few days."

The conspiracy theorist in me theorizes that the government planned this tornado for another Chris Christie moment. The weather on this planet has been so strange lately that I have started to believe the government manipulates the weather. I wish I did a screenshot of the weather forecast for this week posted on Saturday. They had the night temperatures at low 30's for the week. Now they're predicting low 60's. When did they change their minds not to bless us with cold nights?

Hey Sooners, tell your Gov to keep FEMA and DHS out. They will just gum up the works and collect info on your Citizens.

Trust none from the FERAL Government.

It will be interesting to see what happens but I think enough people in DC and in these agencies care and that these scandals will not stop. This will go on until after the 2014 elections and then some. New Benghazi whistle-blowers have surfaced... drip... drip...drip.

I thought the same. That, and that he even knew about it. He must have seen it on TV like the rest of us.

Two years ago a tornado ripped through my former hometown of Woodward, OK killing six people and wiping out dozens of homes and businesses. A year before that a wildfire ripped through east central Oklahoma burning over seventy homes to the ground. In both cases the Obama administration denied federal emergency aid. Was this because not one Oklahoma county voted for the clown in 2008?

Having learned a lesson from hurricane Sandy, Obama was on the phone almost immediately after the Moore tornado offering federal assistance. The tornado gives him a chance to escape his scandals for a few days. As Rush Limbaugh has often said, and we have all observed, everything is political with Obama and crew. I just hope Governor Falin does not kiss Obama’s ass the way Chrissie Christy did.
