From the look of the devastation, they may have been safer at school than at home. The whole town is gone. Prayers up for them
Unfortunately. You also can’t have thousands of homes obliterated and not have more casualties. I pray I am wrong.
I don’t know if its this easy to directly link consequences like that. especially for situations like this. don’t blame god for this. it just does not help the Christian message when you are guessing. it will be soon enough that we will directly reap consequences that no one will miss.

Lord, embrace them in your loving arms, and comfort their families.
Watch and see how wonderful God brings people thru this terrible ordeal....it is in that we see His great works...of heart, mind and soul.
As we are seeing people helping one another are His hands to all those affected. It is His love and His care we are seeing.
Just evacuate. Lol. My favorite FR Internet Expert was the guy posting after the 2004 tsunami who insisted you could duck under a tsunami, let it pass and pop-up safe behind it no problem. He argued it for days then disappeared. I suppose he viewed a video of the tsunami.
The correct Christian response is to pray for these children, their families, and those impacted by this disaster.
Placing any kind of judgement upon these innocent children is evil. This is the kind of stuff that gives Christians a bad name and drives people away from Christ.
