Obama heading to Peninsula homes of two major tech stars on June 6 fundraising swing

President Barack Obama will star at an “intimate” $32,400 per head June 6 fundraising dinner and discussion in the Portola Valley home of star Silicon Valley venture capitalist Vinod Khosla and his wife, Neeru, according to the invite obtained by the Chronicle.

The dinner is one of two events in Peninsula private homes on Obama’s upcoming fundraising swing here, which benefits the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

In addition to the Khosla home dinner, Obama will also attend an earlier reception in the home of Marci and Mike McCue of Palo Alto. McCue co-founded Flipboard, and serves as its CEO.

Senator Michael Bennet, chair of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and Majority Leader Harry Reid are hosts of fundraisers. New York Senator Charles Schumer and Bennet will both attend the events, according to the invitation.

Bay Area Democratic donors are being reminded in the invite that, with issues ranging from immigration to climate change and gun violence prevention on the agenda, the stakes for the party to maintain its hold on the Senate majority “couldn’t be higher.”

Tickets for the McCue reception are $2,500 per person. ...

The Khosla home events — at $64,800 per couple — include a photo with the president as well as a “discussion” with him, the invite says.

Fundraising for what?

If he cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed for him.

Eight years of campaigning for money while the country goes to hell. Obama voters are real slime.

Fools and their money are soon parted , but one thing is perfectly clear. These people are not putting up that kind of money without expecting a return.

These are the big money boys who get Government Contracts, payoffs, favors from EPA, IRS, Look the other way about regulations.

Corruption.

One of the founders of Sun Microsystems back in the '80s along with Scott McNealy and Bill Joy - when Reagan was president and Silicon Valley was still Reagan Country. Khosla didn't absorb the obvious lesson from the types of companies that Silicon Valley launched during the Reagan administration and the type it's launched since 2008 - a gaggle of government-subsidized 'Green Energy' boondoggles destined for bankruptcy.

Nobody is stupid enough to put out $64,000 dollars to meet a Halfrican without expecting a return.

WTF. This is one area that I would push—’there needs to be a law’. This chit costs the taxpayer too much money. The President should not spend ONE thin dime of the taxpayers money fund raising. Democrat or Republican. No more!

You really have to wonder about the sanity of those who would pay such a bundle to be in the same room as this total empty suited lying piece of scum.

$64,800 per couple — include a photo with the president as well as a “discussion” with him, the invite says.

Well, this could be a clue. Not many people have 64K to have a discussion with Hussein. No wonder he didn't stay awake for the Benghazi attacks. Nobody could cough up 64K to discuss it with him (for a minute, 10 minutes, an hour?), so he went to bed. That was below his pay grade.

He/she’s never around...he/she doesn’t know anything, but will stress that he/she will find out who’s responsible for A., B., C.

He/she’s merely the White House “figurehead”; the MASCOT. Valerie Jarrett needs a THOROUGH investigation-—you wanna see nerves on edge at the White House? Investigate Jarrett.

He/she will continue to raise money for all the legal questions staring him/her in the face AS he/she has had to pay millions to fight his/her eligibility in courts. ($$$ for bribes?)
