Former White House Counsel during the Clinton Administration, Lanny Davis, is calling for the resignation of Obama White House Counsel, Kathryn Ruemmler.
... the White House counsel's office reportedly knew about the Inspector General's investigation into harassment ofdconservative groups, since April. Davis contends that if this is true and Ms. Ruemmler chose not to inform President Obama of the investigation and the possible legal and political ramifications, she should step down.

I don't know what that means. But it's creepy. Why would otherwise intelligent men throw away their dignity to regurgitate their party line?
If she steps down, Obama has to find a new White House Council. What will happen once that new person finds out what's been going on? Will they want to remain, or might they have a moment of conscience and walk away, saying they want no part of it?

Boehner wouldn’t be elevated to VP if Biden left. Obama would get to nominate a replacement, subject to Confirmation under the provisions of the 25th Amendment.
If Biden resigns then Obama follows suit without a VP in place, Boehner becomes POTUS.

I think it is different with a Democrat political lawyer. She will get a wink-wink and go to work elsewhere. Meanwhile she has served as a high-voltage insulator so that Obama is not responsible for anything — I didn’t know, my counsel knew. The counsel has some ability to claim that she cannot answer questions that have legal privacy issues, so the whole apparatus acts as a machine crafted for illegal actions on whatever is needed.

They don’t “step down” in D.C. They step over or step up to a new job.
Nixon got to nominate a replacement V. P. because Agnew was forced to resign before Nixon resigned.
If Obama were impeached, that would be it for him.
Biden would nominate his own V. P. Of course that’s if Biden didn’t drown on his own spittle before Obama left office.
Look.....The bottom line is: Obama knew and engineering this from day one. He was cute....doing it a “Chicago or Mafia way”, in which he thought he would be safe above the fray. Ditto for the AP and Benghazi!!! Problem is: These deals made at secret closed door meetings never hold up. Someone in the chain always ends pulling the rat act to save their own skin. If the Republicans...and Democrats with half a brain continue on their quest for just the truth....Obama will be brought down!!! IMHO.....it is to the Democrat Party’s long term interest to throw Obama under the bus!!! If the Democrats do not join hands with the Pubbies, they will bring themselves down in the process of trying to protect, criminal Obama!!!
