For five days, reporters at the Associated Press had been sitting on a big scoop about a foiled al-Qaeda plot at the request of CIA officials. Then, in a hastily scheduled Monday morning meeting, the journalists were asked by agency officials to hold off on publishing the story for just one more day.
The CIA officials, who had initially cited national security concerns in an attempt to delay publication, no longer had those worries, according to individuals familiar with the exchange. Instead, the Obama administration was planning to announce the successful counterterrorism operation that Tuesday.
AP balked and proceeded to publish that Monday afternoon.

The administration was getting even with the AP because they released the information about the foiled Al Qaeda plot before the president's planned announcement, ruining his victory dance.
It was all about Obama's victory lap.
Holder and Obama had to get even with the AP, so they bugged AP's phones. It's the Chicago way.

This sequence of events makes sense to me.
Should we believe the liars in the WH or the liars at the AP? Maybe they’re all lying and there never was an undercover agent.
The NY Times leaked all sorts of national security details, despite the Bush administration asking them to withhold.
Let me get this strait, AP published information that was going to be publicized the next day by government and the government was upset they did not have their talking points ready to take credit.
As we have seen, Obama claims he does not know what is going on until he sees it in the news. If just to keep Obama in the loop, let the presses print.

Just a guess, but I would say the Obama adm. had concocted a story for him to release as to how the terrorist were picking the date/day to carry out a terrorist attack.
You know somewhat along the lines of the “spontaneous” attack in Libya because of the protest of a video in Egypt lie they came up with just a few months later.
This is not the reason.
I keep hoping the laws of algebra will come into play here where two negatives make a positive. But with those two entities, all I get is a zero.

What you are seeing is a meme that is completely irrelevant to tapping AP. This is an assumption, not the fact.
Do we REALLY believe they only looked at 20 numbers?
Do we REALLY believe they only did this to the AP?
Do we REALLY believe they just looked at call patterns and did not wiretap the conversations?
I think we need to know when the subpoenas were applied for and when the data collection took place, relative to when the CIA officials decided that the national security concerns were no longer an issue.
Obviously, they were looking for the leaker. If before the CIA came to that conclusion, then they were looking for a leaker of information with national security implications. If not, then they were looking for a leaker of information contradictory to the WH's preferred narrative.
Regardless, Holder is a liar for saying this week that the unauthorized disclosure "put the American people at risk."
Furthermore, DHS lied when it issued a statement saying that there was "no indication of any specific, credible threats or plots against the US tied to the one-year anniversary of Bin Laden’s death."
Good, their snake turned on them.
The AP (All Progressive) has been carrying the camoflage for this Socialist/Communist and all of his fellow travelers for so long they actually thought they would be immune from a government abuse of power.
How fitting. After being indoctrinated in public school and J school by the communists bHo grew up with and loved I doubt event this event will be enough for them to start reporting ALL the news straight up.
They will continue to spike stories which show the messiah in a bad light and there will even be Freepers who blast FOX even though it has been leading the charge even when nobody was following them.
