IRS Scandal: Low-Level Cincinnati Workers Say They Simply Followed Bosses' Orders
Townhall ^ | May 16, 2013 | Guy Benson

It's rigorous work keeping pace with all of these scandals, as House Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer discovered earlier this week, but we're doing our best nonetheless. On the IRS targeting issue, we covered a lot of ground yesterday and earlier, but the "fun" never ceases. It will come as a surprise to no one that IRS employees lean heavily Democratic. Their livelihoods depend on the existence of big, complicated government, so of course they'd vote blue. In the 2012 cycle, during which their agency's abusive methods were in place, IRS employees donated to Barack Obama over Mitt Romney by more than a 2-to-1 margin. What did the political contribution break-down look like in Cincinnati -- where the tax exemption office is based? Cough:

The Cincinnati office where the political targeting took place is much more partisan, judging by FEC filings. More than 75 percent of the campaign contributions from that office in the past three elections went to Democrats. In 2012, every donation traceable to employees at that office went to either President Obama or liberal Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown of Ohio.

One. Hundred. Percent. The office's director is an Obama donor, too. The undue logistical hoops through which conservative groups were forced to leap are being document left and right; this one's especially egregious. Even as the president expresses (feigns?) outrage over the IRS' victimization of groups he's demonized throughout his presidency, and even after the IRS admitted wrongdoing, some liberals are still trying to justify the agency's actions. Some say the Tea Party deserved it because they're racist terrorists; others say their brought it on themselves through their "persecution complex" and attempts to abide by the law, or something....

Hey Fellas, my advice to you is to stay away from Fort Macy Park and the entire State of Chicago.

The hearings need to start with these low level clowns from Cincinnati. Get them under oath stating that they were following orders from D.C.

Then start threatening criminal prosecutions up the ladder until you go up the chain.

Basically, take a script from the prosecution of Mafia entities. Start with the low level guys and get them to rat out the top level.

I seemed to recall one Nixon scandal that dealt with superiors contributing money for their employees (or coercing them to do so). Might this have happened again? mmm That Chicago bunch sure does remember the Nixon methods. I suspect the dems will try to make Obama into the Reagan they accused of being isolated and therefore incompetent president who does not know what is going on. Axelrod seemed to be saying as much. Difference is of course is that Reagan never was isolated. Obama does not seem engaged in his duties at all. my 2 cents.

Cincinnati. Isn’t that where the woman voted for Obama six times? Must be something in the water.

Dear old Eichmann, up until the day he climbed the king's rope, claimed he really liked Jews, personally. But orders had to be obeyed.

One of his captors wrote a fascinating book called Eichmann in My Hands which, in addition to being a thrilling account of his capture and trial, is also an in-depth glimpse of this psyche.

Eichmann got busted because he directly disobeyed Himmler’s orders and ordered Hungarian Jews to be killed.

Turn the screws until they finger who told them to do it.
Lather.
Rinse.
Repeat until you get to Obama.

Congress cannot threaten criminal prosecutions.

They can investigate and hold hearings and get congressional testimony under oath.

If they believe crimes have been uncovered or that they were lied to, they can only refer the matters to the criminal justice system. Prosecutors in that system make the decisions on how to handle those referrals.

Your point about starting at the bottom and moving up the food chain is valid.

I’m just sayin’, the low levels can’t be frightened by a congressional threat of criminal prosecutions because an entirely different system would make that call.

The IRS attack on conservative organizations is a direct response to ‘Citizens United’.
The order came from the bitter African communist Ubama himself.

Its probably splitting hairs but I will defend my adopted hometown of Cincinnati and make note of the fact that the “Cincinnati” office is really located across the river in Covington, KY.

The Nazis were natural allies with the Muslims. Much as the current administration is.

Not saying they are Nazis of course...oh no...
