Corruption: The inspector general's report on the IRS targeting of conservatives makes it seem like a case of bureaucratic bumbling. But the more we learn, the more it looks like a concerted effort to hobble Obama's political foes.
'Inappropriate criteria," "insufficient oversight" and "lack of managerial review." That's what led the IRS to target hundreds of conservative groups for intrusive, costly and lengthy scrutiny during their application for tax-exempt status, according to the IG report released on Tuesday.
In other words, it wasn't a politically motivated attack on conservative groups during a presidential campaign. It was just a case of some bad wording and a lack of good bosses.
Except that, as details of the IRS scandal emerge, it's increasingly giving the appearance of a wide-scale effort to tilt the playing field against conservative activist groups...

The DHS put TEA party groups on terrorist watch list
...And we are surprised the IRS would scrutinize these organizations.
The indignation from the left is laughable.

According to the article, it’s been with us since the IRS refused to approve ANY conservative applications for 27 months starting in Feb 2010.
I would try to shame the left - some of the sheeperal are shameable...

Romney's support from conservative groups was luke-warm at best. He went all etch-a-sketch after the primaries and alientated a lot of the base. IRS or nor IRS I don't see that being any different.
Since Fitzpatrick knew from day one that Richard Armitage gave Valerie Plames name to Robert Novak, the investigation became a procedural prosecution. Scooter Libby was not agile enough to avoid the traps Fitz set. I often wonder how a smart man like him did get tripped up.
As I recall GWB ordered all his staff to cooperate with the investigation or else, but normal survival skills tells us that you always be careful what you say if you are a suspect.
They can lie to you to get you, but you cant lie to them. But you can shut up if you are a suspect. He got him for lying, in fact that's all he got. But then again that's all Clinton was caught with too, similar anyway,
I concluded long ago that GWB set him up to begin with.
So, who will prosecute the federal law violations?

BUt it does not stop here. The IRS is blamed in order to save Obama’s arse.
Because they want the Mexican cops and Chinese IRS to have the bling, not our cops and nor our IRS. So, voila’, the looping of the betrayal and gelding of the nation is complete.
Interestingly Obama cannot act all offended, only the press and Hillary, because ultimately “his daughter” cannot be embarassed with a child.
