Is this how the Koch brothers personal affairs became national news?

Any thoughts on why they would reveal this? Seems kind of stupid and self defeating.

But...according to the original IRS apologist, “this is not how we do things.” Really?

Yeah, I was wondering that myself.
Usually leftists are “all in” on anything that advances their agenda and their power.

Disclosing tax information to an unauthorized person(s) is a federal crime.

26 USC Sec. 7213. Unauthorized disclosure of information
(a) Returns and return information

(1) Federal employees and other persons

It shall be unlawful for any officer or employee of the United
States or any person described in section 6103(n) (or an officer or
employee of any such person), or any former officer or employee,
willfully to disclose to any person, except as authorized in this
title, any return or return information (as defined in section
6103(b)). Any violation of this paragraph shall be a felony
punishable upon conviction by a fine in any amount not exceeding
$5,000, or imprisonment of not more than 5 years, or both, together
with the costs of prosecution, and if such offense is committed by
any officer or employee of the United States, he shall, in addition

It does seem kind of self defeating, doesn’t it. Maybe they should be asked why it took them so long to come forward with this revelation and why they are revealing it now. Methinks this isn’t about them wanting to do the right thing, because that could have happened when the incidents happened.

“I wrote to the IRS three times last year after hearing concerns that conservative groups were being targeted,” Sen. Orrin G. Hatch (Utah), the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, said in a statement Monday. “In response to the first letter I sent with some of my colleagues, Steven Miller, the current Acting IRS Commissioner, responded that these groups weren’t being targeted.”

I'll be back with the link...

“why didnt these people come forward right away.”

Because they are afraid their group will be revealed as receiving illegal information. They should be sued out of existence. Soros would have to bankroll their legal defense, costing his something for his sleazy activities in this country. The US should have deported this slime ball long ago.
