An IRS campaign to apply additional scrutiny to conservative groups went beyond targeting "Tea Party" and "patriot" groups to include those focused on government spending, the Constitution and several other broad areas.
The additional guidelines created by the agency were part of a timeline, obtained by Fox News, from the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration, which is looking into the controversial IRS practice. IRS officials apologized Friday for the scrutiny, but new information suggests senior leaders were apprised of the effort as early as 2011 despite public denials from the top.

Government employees are largely leftist, so our Government is now in a self-interest and ideological feed-back loop.
Our political system has become “The Government Party” vs. the opposition.
This is why we need as simple a tax law as possible and as small a government as possible. This sort of evil abuse of power is much more difficult when government sticks to its proper and strictly limited role in our lives. We need to cut government with a chain saw, not just reduce the rate of growth.

Conspiracy is not “an unbelievable theory”. It is coordinated criminal activity by 2 or more persons.
A conspiracy theory may or may not be accurate, but “conspiracy” itself, when proven, is still conspiracy and criminal.

As despicable and treasonous as Benghazi was, IMO this IRS scandal is exponentially worse. Using the power of Fedzilla to persecute citizen political opponents crosses the line into tyranny. The entire Constitution was written *specifically* to prevent this kind of abuse of power.
IRS was in top 10 trending words on Twitter, worldwide, the other day. This isn’t going to work, if that is their intention. This is something that has been going on for years, FWIW.
But with much greater effect now. Threats of bureaucratic harassment leading to annihilation is what the Soros machine threatened the “conservative” (and liberal) media heads with, if they reported on Obama’s eligibility problem - starting in October of 2008 and then again in December of 2008. The media heads passed this threat on to their on-air personalities by saying that if they or any of their guests spoke credibly about the elgibility issue their career would be over and the lives of them and their loved ones were questionable.
We’re talking very, very serious crap going on. I believe there is more to the story, since Fox (for instance) could have reported the threats before the 2008 election and Obama could have been disqualified and thus unable to order FCC/FEC annihilation. But even this cover story - of threats of FCC/FEC annihilation - is serious enough that it demands further investigation.
They may be trying to distract from Benghazi, the Boston bombing, the SEAL Team 6 betrayal, Fast & Furious, eligibility, etc. But what is showing up now is the PROCESS by which these criminals have averted scrutiny and legal consequences for their nation-crushing agendas INCLUDING the illegal placement of a foreign enemy combatant in our White House so he can command the military and all the federal law enforcement and bureaucratic agencies.
2008 was literally a coup, and if people are made aware of the illegal tactics and threats used to accomplish that coup, the actions of the regime since that coup will be seen for what they truly are: attempts to destroy this nation and serve instead the interests of the world communists and Islamists who installed this foreign enemy combatant.
I am dead serious about this, and I hope as more and more evidence shows this to be true, the whistle-blowers and even the corrupt Congress will be forced to be serious about it as well.
Wonder if "Random" IRS audit targets are considered public domain? Would be an easy thing to cross reference that list with voter registrations and find out (R) vs (D) vs (I) audit ratios.
I think that I know what the answer is already, but would love to prove it....
