The Blaze ^ | 5/10/2013 | Madeleine Morgenstern

Posted on 05/10/2013 9:27:35 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55

Geraldo Rivera said Friday that his sources tell him the U.S. was involved in a secret mission in Libya to arm the Syrian rebels, which was the reason for the initial secrecy about the attack in Benghazi.

Even though most of us, including myself, aren’t real big fans of WHOREaldo.. isn’t this what we’ve been saying on FR.. since 1 or 2 days after the attack??

Now that Gerry says so, I'm starting to re-think the theory...

approx 1050 miles from airbase Aviano to Benghazi. Commercial airliner time would be two hours. They had the time.

ROFL...yeah, we have been saying this since Day one.

In case anyone wants to see what we said and when (there's a lot of it!): this gets you close to the right time period.

So the bastard may be up to speed on this point, but he’s still lost in the tulies

I'd love to see a dramatic conversion of a knee padder. That would be great! Until that happens, I will consider ANY dissemination of truth as a win. ymmv

This excuse is GARBAGE!

Because it does NOT explain why all rescuers were told to stand down!

The ONLY reason you send Amb. Stevens to an unsecured location and then refuse to send help, is if this were a faux kidnapping, planned in advance.

He was to be trade bait, to excuse Obama in returning the blind Sheik.

Then BS alert!!!!

Wonder if there was Obama’s concern about angering our allies or soon to be or we were hoping “would be our allies.” He looks at America as being evil.

Or maybe we were trading weapons however I don't see how that would have prevented us from rescuing the Americans.

Who knows. However, as usual someone is fibbing.

Perhaps the Americans were to be taken hostage? Some of the attackers didn’t get the memo from the State Department.

Arming the cartels, then the jihadists. Wonder what the DNC got in return ($$$)....

F/A-18's in afterburner.. I'd be shocked if we couldn't have reached the target in less than 3 hours TOPS. One strategically placed JDAM on an enemy roadblock would've scattered the attackers like rats.

Even a simple fly-by by a single F-16 would've given the attackers pause to continue their assault. Leaven them wondering what's next..

Yep, that’s what I am expecting to hear.

They are revving up “We couldn’t protect Chris Stevens because it would make a bigger mess and we couldn’t tell you for your own good.”

two examples of current fighters. These would be time estimates, combat loading to slow them down a little.

To me one of this roaring by at mach 1 would be enough cause the crowds to
scatter.

F-18 E/F Super Hornet (USA)

Maximum speed: Mach 1.8+ (1,190 mph, 1,900 km/h) at 40,000 ft (12,190 m)

F-16 E Fighting Falcon Block 60 (USA)

Maximum speed:

At sea level: Mach 1.2 (915 mph, 1,470 km/h)
At altitude: Mach 2+ (1,500 mph, 2,414 km/h)
