Feds Pull 3D-Printed Gun Design from Web
Breitbart's Big Government ^ | May 9, 2013 | Mary Chastain

Posted on 05/09/2013 4:59:05 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

The federal government has sent a letter to a personal defense advocate demanding he remove the 3D blueprints for a functional homemade gun from his website.

Cody Wilson of Defense Distributed, which hosts designs for 3D-printable firearms and firearm components, has complied with the government order to remove the files.

“DEFCAD files are being removed from public access at the request of the US Department of Defense Trade Controls,” reads the banner at the top of his website defcad.org. “Until further notice, the United States government claims control of the information.”

Defense Distributed's Twitter account lays blame on Secretary of State John Kerry:

Defense Distributed @DefDist

#DEFCAD has gone dark at the request of the Department of Defense Trade Controls. Take it up with the Secretary of State.

I pulled mine direct download. Had a bunch of people ask for it around work, server share.

Ah I see; I was hoping that it'd been torrented, decentralized sharing/distribution and all.

...power....the unlimited power of the government’s printing press and the slavish compliance of the government’s lawyers... everything is possible under the Zeroista regime....

The fart is out of the outhouse now.
That file is all over the world.
No way Baraq and Big Sis are gonna have any effect on it.

Download a bit torrent client (I use bitlord) and you can find it.
I did earlier today.
Now that the files are out there, they’re out there for good.

If you're interested in printable arms:

Magnet link for the .

Magnet Link for the .

The Liberator has a Chinese readme, in addition to the English.
I cannot vouch for the file/design in either of these because I don't have a 3D printer.

Sorry about that; looks like FR doesn't like Magnet... here they are in non-magnet links.

I downloaded and looked at the zip. It’s legit. It’s a very nice piece of work. They tell you to epoxy 6 oz of steel to the frame so that it will be legit.

This is a fascinating beginning.

The power of the federal government. Anybody still think we live in a constitutional representative republic?

Any .com, .org, .net, etc. can be taken down by government agencies in the US.

This is why many companies are not relocating their servers overseas under a different extension that is not in the US jurisdiction.

Got cell phone? They have a tower ping map of everyone’s location on record. They can’t find their asses with both hands, but they can map your every motion through cell phone records, banking transactions, and the rest of the standard regulatory records in their central databases.

... and the next step will be to put tracking chips in currency. Oh, then there are the quiet megabucks they’ve given to “upgrade” video surveillance systems ( as long as they have an active feed) to cities and corporations across the country.

Rand and Orwell were prophets.

All internet traffic, from sites, to texts, to twits, to posts are recorded, as are all phone calls. That’s why they have built the vast data suppository in Utah. We don’t need no steenkin warrants!

I guess you could sit in your basement and send encrypted smoke signals, but you’d only be inviting a visit from the EPA.
