Yesterday was a pretty unbelievable day. The hearing on Benghazi in the House Oversight and Reform committee was compelling and credible. If you didn't get the chance to see it, Greg Hicks' recount of what happened on the night of the attack was riveting, at times spellbinding.
Just to re-cap, here are some of the main things we learned from yesterday's hearing.
- The YouTube video was a “non-event” in Libya. It was never reported to anyone, even Hillary Clinton herself whom Hicks spoke to at 2am, that there was a protest involved. Perhaps the biggest question remains, who then came up with the YouTube narrative for the talking points and why?
- State Department official Beth Jones knew on September 12th the true nature of this attack, telling Libya's ambassador to Washington, “The group that conducted the attacks, Ansar al-Sharia, is affiliated with Islamic terrorists.”
- Multiple stand down orders were given, including one to highly trained personnel in Tripoli who were ready to board a plane and save their colleagues under siege in Benghazi. One of the biggest questions remains, who gave those stand down orders?
- Greg Hicks was basically told by the State Department not to speak to the Congressional delegation investigating Benghazi without a lawyer present. When a lawyer sent with the delegation was excluded from a meeting because he/she failed to meet the proper security clearance, Hillary Clinton's Chief of Staff, Cheryl Mills, called Hicks personally and was “upset” that her lawyer was not present in the meeting.

The media is left of center on this. Their coverage is not going to sway any committed leftist to the truth. A few middle of the road people will see the truth. The ONE is counting on there not being a massive outcry, and so he will get away with it.
Unless the message is tatooed on Kim Kardashian’s a$$, the general public will be clueless.

So who exactly are the wiz kids the make the talking points for this and all events! I mean is there Staff on 24 hrs a day in the 0 admin to spin any news item within hours of release!
Do they have a manual or do they have a think tank setting and bounce ideas off each other and come up with a plausible

Regarding the forces to be sent from Tripoli to Benghazi. Do people realize that they are almost a thousand miles apart. The first phase of the attack ended, then there was around a six hour gap before the second phase started. How much real intelligence was available to those both military and civilian trying to make a decision. If you want to know what kind of decisions or fears might have been at play, see Blackhawk Down, a very chilling, realistic portrayal of urban warfare in Somolia. I think Benghazi has a population near 1/2 million. How forgiving would America be if more had gone in and been killed too.

Did you even read the book or see the film? The Rangers were rescued. There was no stand down order like there was for Benghazi.
Ok I’ll play, first the plane went without them and was able to evac all the survivors and our heroes who would have been killed 37 in all.. Second they had real time info from the drone. So to recap the best fighters who trained for this mission are told to stand down by someone who agrees with you and others went on their own to save our heroes.

Shortly after Benghazi in Libya... some distance away in Afghanistan the Taliban took out 8 Harrier jets- caught us flat footed, lost a lot of valuable men. Americans not only forgave that error they don't even know it happened.
Before all that we lost a ton of CIA assets because some chick wanted to throw a birthday party for an asset she didn't know was going to double cross us. Americans not only forgave that error they don't even know it happened.
The casualty rate of US troops nearly tripled under Obama. Americans are oblivious.
And when Obama decided to do his one and only trick and kill OBL, he willingly took the chance of getting a lot of special forces men killed for what to him was just an election year trophy because he darn sure hasn't shown much interest in getting the guy who has been a sharper AQ leader ...Zawahiri the Egyptian.
Shortly after that raid, a bunch of SEALs - not the same guys - were killed when a helicopter went down. Americans didn't take note.
Obama need not worry- he controls and charms the vertical media, he controls and charms the horizontal media. America is the Twilight zone.
Even if we bought your line of reasoning...which we don’t..we found out yesterday in hearing that there was a special operations team in Tripoli that night...they were told to stand down too.
Obama was prepared to let all 30 some odd people die!! 4 of them did die. The only reason the survivors made it was because a foreign service employee disobeyed orders!! That was the big story yesterday that the media is hiding.
No one in this country should be making excuses for this administration. Not the media,not the democrats, not anyone. The administration should be compelled to be sworn in and answer every single question. Every document should be released. Every party to the events should be questioned from the WH on down...under oath.
Then maybe...maybe we will get the truth! So far..there has been nothing from this WH and media but lies and spin.
