Grocery Store Creates Pro-Life Mother’s Day Commercial
Citizen Link ^ | 5/7/13 | Nathan Cherry

Posted on 05/07/2013 5:39:23 PM PDT by rhema

A recent article high-lighted the pro-life commercial of Publix grocery store in which a mother and her daughter discuss in human terms the mother’s unborn child. The daughter in the commercial speaks to the unborn baby believing it can hear her (and it can!). It’s not often that you see commercials showing the unborn in such human terms, but after the Gosnell trial we hope to see more.

You can watch the video here.

My goodness.

Thanks for sharing the link! We don’t have any of that chain in the area, but if we did, that ad would be enough to get me in the door.

Wow.

Dr. Gosnell won’t like that one. This is only of many new pro life commercials I have seen recently.

Publix also has baggers, checkout clerks that look for customers to help, if three people are waiting in a line they bring on another checkout cashier to open a new lane, and they help you out with the groceries wearing a sign on their nametag that says: Please. No tipping. Thank you!

Plus the freshest vegetables, a full deli, full bakery with their own fresh baked breads, buns and rolls and clerks roaming the aisles helping customers find what they are looking for.

They just opened a Charlotte, NC division. That is the biggest thing that happened to the company since it opened the Atlanta division.

My first job was a bag boy at a Publix when I was 14. My father worked there for 42 years.

They are about the only grocery chain giving Walmart a run for their money.

They’ll be packed when the store across the street is nearly empty.

Sadly, the truth means nothing to the dead soul democrips and lieberals who want to have women slaughtering their alive unborn children at will. It has been scientifically proven for two deacdes now that the alive unborn can hear AND LEARN while in the womb. The startle reflex is well studied phenomenon with the alive unborn. If the loud noise is repeated regularly the child int he womb learns the sound and ceases to be startled. Now, if learning is not proof that a sentient being is ‘there’ then nothing can prove that to those serving the father of lies a murderer from the start. The democrip party is not going to give up their empowerment scheme, so abortion is to important to them to allow the truth to impinge upon their magic thinking.

It is on their website in section “About Publix”. My father who is retired from the company told me about this a around Christmas time. He has breakfast with a bunch of retired managers and district managers each month. They are also opening a huge distribution center in Jacksonville.

I was with my father and my family for the grand opening of their dairy plant in Deerfield Beach. George Jenkins was there for the keynote speech. That was about 5 or 6 years before he passed away.

our stock just jumped almost 4 dollars a share. HUGE increase.
the company is associate owned. private stock. repeatedly ranks on top in customer and employee satisfaction.

George died just before i started working there. the stories folks have told me clearly show what an amazing person he was.
the CEOs CFOs etc all eat together in same cafeteria ride same elevators.
really a different type of management.

I've worked at Publix for 17 years. I have worked in our retail, corporate and manufacturing facilities.

I once had to prepare a cooking class/meal for our board of directors. I was incredibly nervous. Just before the class began one of our chief officers stood up and directed everyone to bow their heads and then he offered/asked grace for upcoming meal. I was never nervous in front of any of our board members again

Publix is an employee-owned company.

We are not publicly traded.

The only people who can buy or trade Publix stock are current Publix employees.

Publix promotes and fills all management positions from within our associate ranks.

My only regret is I didn't start my career at Publix earlier in life. It has been a great place to work.
