Yeah, he only lost in his quest for morality and marriage.
Politically, Sanford is very good.
Lol, when I first replied to you I didn’t realize the connection between Elizabeth Colbert Busch and Stephen Colbert! Guess he’ll have a hard time cracking jokes about the election, huh?
Conservatives have principles, ergo Sanford is no conservative.
he frigging won and you are pissed off.
look have you asked yourself who do you want, a vote for oabma\\\
a vote against Obama
seems you would rather have the vote for Obama because you seem pissed off the vote for obama lost
Someone posted this week on FR that you can begin to knowing which FReeper is a true conservative by finding out what they think of a President Sarah Palin.
This evening, I can add another qualifier: Do you think Mark Sanford was a conservative Representative and S.C. Governor?
damn right, well done SC, love your state and for a couple moaning we won and the left lost then it seems they must have other motives on here because .
A vote for Colbert would have meant a vote for oabma
2. Sanford wins then it’s a vote against Obama
seems a couple are really pissed off that a vote against oabma won , mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
seems to me a couple on here are pissed off we got a vote against Obama and it begs the question just who the hell regardless how long they have been on here who they really support and vote
The winners are: (1) Sanford, for using the Bill Clinton playbook to wage a return to politics, (2) Governor Haley for filling the DeMint Senate seat, opening a House seat, and keeping the House seat in her party, (3) Lindsey Graham, for showing that name ID is the key to winning a Republican nomination in SC and many other states too.
The losers are (1) E. Busch, for having a last name that may have reminded liberals of GWB but most likely for taking her election for granted, (2) Obama; SC could have followed the FL and VA example and tried to cozy up to Obama but did not, (3) The Republican runoff candidate who lost to Sanford; he could have been a 65 percent winner tonight and started a real career if he had had the vital name ID.
first who the hell posts politico the left wing crap and even so if she wanted to throw her money away thinking he was the weak candidate then shows how stupid she is and how out of touch she is with the south
BTW, I stand fully behind Sarah Palin.
Oh yeah... it’s his SISTER. And she just lost to SANFORD!
Notice how leftists are only about Redemption when its one of their own who needs redeeming. Sanford cheated on his wife, was that a horrible thing, yes, but not the end of the world..meanwhile Teddy Kennedy let a woman drown in his car not a peep from the press, they consider him a hero..Bill Clinton cheated on his wife repeatedly and raped women, he is a hero to the left..but Sanford is considered the bad guy
Now this is excellent advice.
“....Was Pravda ever really more propagandizing than our current press mess?”
Nope! Tonight, with the Sanford/conservative victory, there truly is no joy among the mainstream media types, the GOPe types (including the NRCC and the NRC —NEVER, EVER contribute money to these corrupt organizations —contribute directly to conservative candidates instead), the Progressives and the useful idiots of this joyless crowd.
I didn’t know that at first!
Did you notice Jackie Gleason in that picture (lower right)?
I don't get people who vigorously defend politicians. There are only two types of politicians, those that are new and those that have failed to be principled. Sanford ain't new.
Did you notice Jackie Gleason in that picture (lower right)?
And Dr. Josef Mengele right behind Nancy in that picture? What ungodly experiment did he conduct on her to turn her into what she is today?
and was that Art Carney on the lower left? lol
I still think he may be a rittre clazy
Yup, this is the “Scott Brown” erection, I meme election...
It’s not that. It’s probably that some people, like me, are perhaps viewing it through a more a multi-varied prism. On one hand it’s great that Sanford won. He’ll probably vote conservatively, and it’s a great relief that that horrid Busch and her vile Comedy Channel peanut brigade were deprived of their celebration.
Yet, on the other hand, Sanford revealed himself during his ‘scandal,’ to be a really grotesquely self-absorbed character, with his emotional ramblings. Really, really pathetic. Real men don’t behave or talk this way! He showed repeatedly that he was devoid of character. So even though it’s terrific to have a reliable vote against Obama, it still comes across as a rather un-celebratory situation, in how it reflects a degraded American culture. And it’s that degraded culture that keeps lowing its standards, opening the doors to such degeneracy like fag marriage.
That sort of describes most politicians. I'd rather have a conservative with no principles than someone like Obama.
He won’t disappear, the Argentine lady is now his fiancé. I’m happy for both of them.
Excellent! We dodged that bullet. And Pelosi/Wasserman-Schultz blew a bundle! HA!
all i can do now is pray that God directs him. i certainly would never support such a man with his public record. couldn’t sleep at night. His will be done. but political games and calculations at your level are beyond me. i have a hard enough time with real math and physics.
God bless you. and i hope it works out the way you believe it will.
Oh for a muscle spasm right about now... ;-)
my feeling is that obama and the forces of evil are helped by this man’s election. guess were on either side of the deep blue sea on this one. His will be done. i hope you are right and i am wrong.
speaking of conspiring journalists...
You are correct but then you live here and are aware of the complete story. The role Andre played in the scandal is why he’ll never be elected to office although I hear he might try to run for governor. I have always believed Jenny had a role in the fiasco as well. They knew where he was and the trap was set. That doesn’t excuse him but the media outside of SC never gave out all the hubbub around what else was going on behind the scene.
There is no such thing as a conservative with no principles. There are RINOs better than Obama. I just don't get excited anymore about any Republican, especially after my Tea Party Senator (Arlen Toomey) let me down on gun control. Toomey has no principles, he doesn't even understand the Constitution.
So I have to think that any man that sells out his wife is willing to sell out the Constitution.
i’ve come to believe that nothing happens by “chance.” peace to you.
It’s wasn’t just because of a breakdown. It was his stupid ramblings about ME...ME...ME. Total self-absorption. No care about his duties, obligations, responsibilities, honor. Just himself and his new “soul-mate.” He’s a repulsive creep. Devoid of character. Any adult male that behaves like he did gets absolutely no respect from me. Only revulsion.
Looking at the glass half-full, I’m glad he’ll be there in DC to counter Obama. But nothing more.

I don't care about his personal mistakes any more than I care about David Vitter being with a prostitute. The GOP needs to stop throwing people under the bus for such issues. Let Sanford decide his own morality and what is best for him in terms of his marriage. Reagan got divorced. I could care less if he committed adultery.
I don’t have an example but you don’t know Sanford, that is obvious by your unsubstantiated rants against him. You are just repeating garbage you’ve read in the media. You are not from SC and yet you talk like you have some secret knowledge about our Governor. We know him best and we know more about what went on than you do. If you knew Jenny like we do you would be glad she is no longer his advisor. Mark Sanford is a conservative. Time will tell who was right, my guess is it will be me.
