Exactly. When he won the primary he flaunted his “financee” and claimed his victory was a sign of God’s approval. If he’s so holy, why doesn’t he marry the streetwalker? He could be like that prophet that God made marry a whore as an example of the idolatry in Israel. Hosea married the whore Gomer to make this illustration. So why doesn’t Markie marry his Gomer?

Do you live here in SC? Did you work to support Mark Sanford before he lost his mind? Were you humiliated by the Appalachian Trail/Argentine Tail sob fest after he was caught going AWOL and spending the taxpayers' money on rides to South America to get laid? Did you think he had gone away and wouldn't disgrace us further? There's a well of bitterness to drink from, and making coy "I'd hit that" remarks about his rotten piece of tail doesn't help.

There used to be a guy here on FR who posted pictures of South American women in thong underwear, cajoling men here to get rid of their fat American wives and mail-order one from Brazil or Argentina. Maybe that was Mark Sanford in disguise.

Perhaps, he who is without sin should cast the first stone?

I'll show you what a South Carolina river rock looks like. You've gotten so into the metaphors that you think the truth is a rock to the head. A rock is a rock, and Jesus was talking about a real rock. He also told the Woman at the Well to go and sin no more, not to move to Charleston South Carolina.

As maddening as Markie's victory is, more maddening still the men here who so want an evening with Maria La Puta that they want to excuse and justify Markie.

Worse for you, you don't realize that this is not a repentant sinner as much as a Teddy Kennedy on the make, with a side order of crazy. Take a closer look at lover boy, he is erratic .

Well I think the people of SC need their heads examined for nominating the fool, but once nominated the morons left us little choice. I was making a joke. Sorry if you thought the joke was on you.

Do you want to know how it all came down? Mark's former employees and hacks approached him to run. There is deep suspicion that this was aided and abetted by Colbert Busch's people because they figured this district hated Sanford enough that she'd have a real chance. I think this suspicion is bourn out. The SC GOP is behind Lindsey Graham, I'd remind you, and there are a lot of Democrats who turned coat when the state turned red. But tea partiers like me went against the good ole boy former-Demcrat corrupt GOP and got Haley into office. I wish Palin had come to help keep Sanford out, but the primary was packed and Bostic's vote was watered down.

Then the Dems were gleeful at Sanford's victory in the primary; it was their best chance. And Republicans only gathered to vote against Busch, and now have to suffer with having a Teddy Kennedy, opening the whole state to shame and mockery and the endless Jon Stewart youtube videos by email...

I believe we'd have been better off with Busch, who we could have defeated easily in 2014 with a decent person like Bostic. I fear we're stuck with the Deep South version of Teddy Kennedy.

No SC Republican endorsed him.

Relax, I am not your enemy. Compared to the alternative, Sanford is a saint. I don’t live in SC, but I have visited many times and have relatives in the Greenville area. There is no perfect politician, but some are less perfect than others. Sanford will pay the price at some point.

I'm not interested in vengeance, except that it is galling that he struts about like his adultery is *vindicated." There's a difference between repentance and forgiveness and an attitude that everything he's done is just fine and dandy.

The seat is now wounded, crippled and flawed, when it could have been strong and productive. Look at Trey Gowdy. You saw him at work today at the Benghazi hearings. All the tea party congresscritters from SC are *exemplary*. Can you picture Sanford as anything but an embarrassment?

Will he do anything but attract ridicule, and hold back any conservative momentum?

Sorry to burst your balloon but I am an Ordained minister, like it or not

I do not call evil good or the other way around as you infer. sin is sin but Christ paid the price to allow us to find salvation by our belief in him

Try John 3:16 for reference, lots more where that came from. Everlasting life, sounds like salvation and forgiveness to me. But if you are waiting for him to come to you personally and ask your forgiveness that is not something you are entitled to, God owns that

Enough, you obviously to me have your mind made up of what others are and think, good luck standing in front of God and Jesus and explaining your actions

Well, how he will vote is all that I cared about.

Right, that's exactly what we said about Bill Clinton or Anthony Weiner.

>>>He sure as Hell didn’t tell me to vote for her. That’s on you, fool.

I know one thing Jesus did say. He said don't call your brother a fool. (Matthew 5:22)

Maybe you should worry a little more about yourself...

Stephen Colbert is anti-southern and anti-Scalia.

It was a victory against Comedy Central, gun grabbers and open borders.

“....Sanford.......No SC Republican endorsed him.”
***********************************************************
Really? But there sure were a lot who voted for him though.

I’m getting some comfort in noting your continued disatisfaction at yet another dependable conservative being elected to Congress.

Hopefully in 2014 many, many more will be elected both to the House and the US Senate. I hope, for your sake, that your disatisfaction doesn’t grow apace.

“I supported Mark Sanford against his opponent, Elizabeth Colbert Busch, with no regrets or apologies. Why? Well, I think I speak for millions of conservatives when I say that what cost Sanford his governorship was absolutely wrong and not to be excused under any circumstances. I would prefer that candidates such as him get primaried out of the equation (and that Sanford wasn’t is a different matter), but this didn’t happen. And while what he did was a sin, there are other kinds of sins as well.

One of them is advocating nation and culture-killing leftist policy.

SC’s special congressional election didn’t give us the choice between an angel and demon or even an angel and sinner. Rather, on one side we had a man who was unfaithful to his wife, a red flag telling us to watch him even more closely. On the other we had a woman who is unfaithful to Truth and everything good and great for which America stands, a redder flag telling us she should be dismissed promptly. For people such as Busch are ensuring that America won’t stand for long.”

From American Spectator

My sentiments exactly.

In brief, the only good Commie is a dead Commie.

Bye-bye, Colbert-Busch. You are politically dead.

Sanford's reappearance was the result of cynical self-seeking.

His former political employees wanted back in the saddle and back in DC and didn't care about anything but their own personal ambitions. District #1 had a candidate who was a decent person, not a pathological narcissist. Sanford and his team, well-organized and with name recognition on his side, took advantage of the situation.

And the American Spectator may need to stop and think that there are a lot of conservative women and we don't put up with the kind of crap that liberal women put up with. We didn't want a southern Ted Kennedy and we still got one. Ask Taki how that worked out for HIM.

Mark Sanford is my first refusal to hold my nose and support the Republican guy, no matter what a stinking louse he is.

Mark Sanford will be a cruel disappointment. You don't realize that he is flawed in more than morals. He's a mental case.

And he's also really weird about money. I'll bet that cheap little piece is discovering that finances are tight these days now that he's not paying for her antibiotics with Jenny's money. Wonder if they'll be sleeping on that rollabed in his DC office...LOL...
