Cheating on his wife indicates he has no principles and is also a scum bag. I don't get people who vigorously defend politicians. There are only two types of politicians, those that are new and those that have failed to be principled. Sanford ain't new.

Well, you're not the first FReeper poster to pick up a rock to bash Mark Sanford for his sins. So, fire away, if you feel you meet all the qualifications. And keep on bouncing them off his head if it helps you feel superior. For now.

It’s not that. It’s probably that some people, like me, are perhaps viewing it through a more a multi-varied prism. On one hand it’s great that Sanford won. He’ll probably vote conservatively, and it’s a great relief that that horrid Busch and her vile Comedy Channel peanut brigade were deprived of their celebration.

Yet, on the other hand, Sanford revealed himself during his ‘scandal,’ to be a really grotesquely self-absorbed character, with his emotional ramblings. Really, really pathetic. Real men don’t behave or talk this way! He showed repeatedly that he was devoid of character. So even though it’s terrific to have a reliable vote against Obama, it still comes across as a rather un-celebratory situation, in how it reflects a degraded American culture. And it’s that degraded culture that keeps lowing its standards, opening the doors to such degeneracy like fag marriage.

he has no principles

That sort of describes most politicians. I'd rather have a conservative with no principles than someone like Obama.

He won’t disappear, the Argentine lady is now his fiancé. I’m happy for both of them.

Excellent! We dodged that bullet. And Pelosi/Wasserman-Schultz blew a bundle! HA!

all i can do now is pray that God directs him. i certainly would never support such a man with his public record. couldn’t sleep at night. His will be done. but political games and calculations at your level are beyond me. i have a hard enough time with real math and physics.

God bless you. and i hope it works out the way you believe it will.

Yes, it is a very good thing for you that you never had or ever will have a breakdown broadcast and written about throughout the Nation and a good part of the world. Yes, real men would have done as well as you, if some of YOUR sins were made evident for the whole country to pick apart.

speaking of conspiring journalists...

You are correct but then you live here and are aware of the complete story. The role Andre played in the scandal is why he’ll never be elected to office although I hear he might try to run for governor. I have always believed Jenny had a role in the fiasco as well. They knew where he was and the trap was set. That doesn’t excuse him but the media outside of SC never gave out all the hubbub around what else was going on behind the scene.

Deadfly, there is always the slightest of chances that what you posted is absolutely correct, or am i wrong, or something maybe. what?

There is no such thing as a conservative with no principles. There are RINOs better than Obama. I just don't get excited anymore about any Republican, especially after my Tea Party Senator (Arlen Toomey) let me down on gun control. Toomey has no principles, he doesn't even understand the Constitution.

So I have to think that any man that sells out his wife is willing to sell out the Constitution.

...and are aware of the complete story.

Not really. Lost interest in trying to figure out the fellow about the time he crashed his airplane. Where was it? Blacksburg, Gaffney? Andre fell off my radar somewhere along the way.

It’s wasn’t just because of a breakdown. It was his stupid ramblings about ME...ME...ME. Total self-absorption. No care about his duties, obligations, responsibilities, honor. Just himself and his new “soul-mate.” He’s a repulsive creep. Devoid of character. Any adult male that behaves like he did gets absolutely no respect from me. Only revulsion.

Looking at the glass half-full, I’m glad he’ll be there in DC to counter Obama. But nothing more.

And Barry is still happily bound in wedlock to Michelle, proving your opinion.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Bill Clinton has a 71% popularity rating. He is still married.

I don't care about his personal mistakes any more than I care about David Vitter being with a prostitute. The GOP needs to stop throwing people under the bus for such issues. Let Sanford decide his own morality and what is best for him in terms of his marriage. Reagan got divorced. I could care less if he committed adultery.

I don’t have an example but you don’t know Sanford, that is obvious by your unsubstantiated rants against him. You are just repeating garbage you’ve read in the media. You are not from SC and yet you talk like you have some secret knowledge about our Governor. We know him best and we know more about what went on than you do. If you knew Jenny like we do you would be glad she is no longer his advisor. Mark Sanford is a conservative. Time will tell who was right, my guess is it will be me.
