Coming soon to a municipality near you. A lot of local governments are going to get to the point where their primary function is to pay retired government workers. And any citizen who can will flee those jurisdictions and the remaining taxpayers will get horrible roads and services and a huge tax burden. And if anyone tries to reduce benefits, the courts will stop it. The future of American municipalities is not a pretty picture.
