I was sickened listening to my local CHRISTIAN radio station (Moody) as it ran a long story about how JFK's daughter gave the Profiles in Courage award to GG. The entire presentation was a commercial for gun control.
The award should have gone to her husband , he is the one pushing her to these affairs.
Not that he does it out of courage, but to keep himself in the limelight AKA Ms. Brady.
These a$$wipes seems to have missed one important fact: Nothing she is advocating will reduce gun violence.
Why is this liberal twit receiving the award?
She was shot and survived; it doesn’t take any courage to get shot and then deal with it. It’s something you just have to do to live. This award is like the ones given to the team members who weren’t that good, but wanted a trophy for showing up.

Never heard if either of them before the nut case shot her and a bunch of others because the local sheriff was not doing his job.
There isn't anything brave or heroic about getting shot. There isn't anything brave or heroic about shilling for gun control either. The woman was a liberal a**hole before she got shot. She's a liberal a**hole now. She will doubtless continue to be a liberal a**hole in the future.
Googy Giffords is the new antigun poster child. The purpose of the award is to show she got shot.

I’m really getting sick of this adulation and exaltation of a common Democrat ‘token.’
The standard reply to any article or news item bearing the hallmark of Giffords (or the money grubbing husband) being a gun-control advocate should be accompanied first by a picture of her pandering for votes by shooting the very weapons for which she now “articulates” (ha) control.
Many people in this country get shot and survive. What about our brave military dealing with injuries far worse than GG’s? Where are their “awards”?
Gabby G. was a low level politician, not a hero. And her husband and the lefties should be ashamed of themselves for using her a pawn. There was no reason for her to resurface again as a public figure or do anything other than spend the rest of her life in recovery from her injuries in private.
She was comped salary-wise way past the time that she should have been,,ie she didn’t resign and the taxpayers paid for noone to legislate from her office.
I’m sick of seeing her. She is altered and cannot make rational decisions.

Her heroism amounts to what: She stopped a bullet . . . not that she saw the shooter and stepped in front of someone else to prevent him from getting shot . . . but . . . that she stopped a bullet.

You know I remember when she was shot and in the hospital freepers saying prayers and wishing the best for her survival. I refuse to wish the best for evil. I remember thinking (not sure if I put it in print) that if the sto0pid witch survived she would go right back to being a commie and would use the shooting to jam it down America’s throat. Guess I was right.
